I've been playing @DayZ Badlands now for the past few weeks, and initially I was quite skeptical. I ain't much of a desert map fan. But over the weeks, the map has grown on me quite a lot, and it's incredibly fun. I've played it vanilla, vanilla+ and now modded as well, and each variant offers a different type of enjoyment.
Personally, with the right mods, a few POI changes and a larger player count, the map is a strong 8.5/10 for me.
I love seeing what each different community server has done with the map, unlocking its full potential.
Although, I do feel like the heatstroke mechanic in general is a bit too excessive. Not all gamers have a lot of time on their hands to play the game extensively. I understand survival is the core essence of the game and part of the adventure, but it shouldn't be the entire adventure.

A Throwback to the very first community event!
Just came across this group photo of everyone that participated back then. I am currently editing the latest community event and my goodness everytime we have such a good time together. There will be one more "larger" community event somewhere towards the end of November.
Before that lets celebrate my birthday together and perhaps with @hocken123 & @Ripple300x as we all like day apart. Could be really fun!

Its actually wild to see DayZ is going to the Switch. I remember in 2017-18, thinking where the heck is this game going... But to see it expand to different platforms and communities, is ultimately the best for the game. With Badlands on the horizon, @DayZ gonna be peak gaming this year ๐ฅ
