Conservatives shit on gamers & young men, specifically blaming them for being lazy and not wanting to work even running ads with them in it. All this despite young men pleading for access to higher education, stopping H1B visas so they could get work and support.
765,000 jobs went to women while men were at a net loss in Trump's term. GOP virtually begged to lose young men's support, and they lost in large part because of it.

Women will spend their youth getting run through by Chads who have options. Once those women turn 30+ they'll either be single mothers or have had several abortions. Something about female attraction that a lot of men don’t understand is that we don’t find it immutable
For women, his physical attractiveness ties directly to her impression of him
This is why women will often date & marry men similar in attractiveness if not a bit “lower”
And men almost NEVER date someone less attractive than themselves
Because for women, if there’s a baseline attraction AND he is funny, kind, admirable, and a little bit sexually aggressive, he will become physically hotter to her (this is why women tend to be pretty forgiving of the “dad bod”)
So likely what happened was he literally became unattractive to her in the pods because their exchange was so painfully awkward
When women describe “the ick” they are vocalizing that something in his behavior in that moment made him PHYSICALLY less attractive to her — and if the attraction is only base line, it is much harder for him to come back from
If he was suave in that exchange, she likely wouldn’t have reacted that way
(Plausibly why she agreed to give him another chance when he came across much more confident and “cool” in the reunion they had)
