Matthew McConaughey says his father always told his sons he’d die making love to their mother. In 1992, James “Big Jim” McConaughey suffered a fatal heart attack during s*x with his wife, Kay.
When responders wheeled Jim out on a stretcher, they tried to cover him with a sheet.
According to Matthew, Kay pulled it back off right there in the driveway.
“That’s Big Jim,” he recalled her saying. “He’s gonna go out how he went.”
Matthew says his mother told him over the phone that his father had died. It wasn’t until he got home that she told him how.

Today, 500 African American and African Christian leaders arrived in Israel as part of the "Unfinished Business" pilgrimage, an initiative created and led by the BCLCIR.
Their vision was to fulfill Dr. King’s dream of bringing African American pastors on a pilgrimage and solidarity trip to the Holy Land.
It was a journey MLK planned in 1967, but never got to make.
At a time when it proves most costly, these brave leaders came to see Israel for themselves, led by their faith, a deep commitment to the truth, and in service of Black - Jewish community building, a special tradition built by generations of solidarity.
As part of their trip, they also honored Israelis whose lives were forever changed by October 7 and by antisemitism, including Elkana Bohbot, who survived 738 days in Hamas captivity.
