This guy took time away from LARPing having a state, from within a failed state, to advise another country on how it should run its affairs.
Arabs in Israel should have the right to live, not to vote. Giving democracy to the wrong people will destroy your nation. It happened in Lebanon. Beware.

And? Let's assume this is true -- is that the moral yardstick?
Reminder that if Ben-Gvir was an Arab, he would be considered at most a very moderate politician.

Oh, that's what he's doing...huh...who knew all of his antics and empty chest puffing were aimed at protecting Israel 🙄
What @EylonALevy is doing for you here is identifying (correctly) that Ben Gvir is the single greatest threat to an Arab takeover of Israel. Our enemies are literally telling us who they fear the most.

Bennett is also opposed
All eyes on @AvigdorLiberman If, as seems, Israeli Arabs vote en mass, neither side will be able to form a coalition without outside support from Arab parties. The opposition to Netanyahu would be open to doing that, except for Lieberman, who says he won’t rely on Arab parties. If he breaks his promise, he wins it for the Opposition bloc. He can demand to be first prime minister in a rotation. Or he could go back to his old boss Bibi if the Haredim are out, winning it for the Netanyahu camp. He's the wrecking ball. Either way, Yvette could be kingmaker or king.

There is something deeply unsettling about politicians warning that members of a particular group are voting in large numbers. We have grown so accustomed to this rhetoric in Israel that we barely notice it anymore. But we should. Imagine American politicians warning next week that too many Jews are turning out to vote in Michigan. The outrage would be obvious. Are there legitimate reasons to debate whether Arab political parties should be part of the next government? Yes. But portraying high voter turnout among Arab citizens as a threat to Israel’s future is something entirely different.

🗳️ UPDATE: Voter turnout in the IDF is at 48% as of 13:00, compared to 44.4% in the last election, before the war. Military conscription is a key issue in these elections. Many citizens have done hundreds of days in reserves while the ultra-Orthodox demand a formal exemption.

Chagall is just an “Eastern European.” This nonsense is why I’ve long objected to the term “Arab Jew.”
New Yorkers experience the abundant contributions of our Eastern European neighbors every day. As we pair syrniki with sour cream in Brighton Beach, look in wonder at a Chagall painting at MoMA and banter with babushkas in Rego Park. Last week, we celebrated Eastern European heritage at Gracie Mansion, because the story of New York City cannot be told without the story of our Eastern European neighbors. From new immigrants to those who've lived here for generations, Eastern Europeans have built New York City. We owe them a city they can afford to call home.

Arabs vote the same as Jews* since Arabs who vote are ISRAELIS.
Today is election day in Israel, which is a national holiday. All voting is in person, ID required. No mail-in or absentee ballots. Arabs vote same as Israelis. Contentious process, but it's a democracy-not many of those in this region!

"One of the students, speaking anonymously, expressed frustration over the situation. He feared arrest at the airport over his draft status if he tried to travel abroad, and questioned why young yeshiva students were being targeted for draft evasion rather than the rabbis whose directives they were following." Um, simple -- because you are adults with agency and free will, and the choice to submit blindly to these rabbis -- fallible human beings who are mere flesh and blood -- is a freely made personal choice. .@walidjoumblatt "says the only way to disarm Hezbollah is through dialogue and possibly a compromise, with the support of Iran and Israel." Yeah, ok chief. Why do we entertain this?
‼️Lebanese Druze leader Walid Jumblatt, in an interview with Hadley Gamble: • “The Americans are withdrawing from the region, and the Israelis are filling the vacuum.” • “We made a mistake by choosing Marco Rubio’s track instead of the Islamabad track. Rubio’s approach will lead us nowhere.” • “I do not believe Lebanese-Israeli negotiations, in their current format, will produce results as long as Israel continues to occupy southern Lebanon.” • “The government tried, but believing that the Americans can pressure Israel to withdraw is a complete illusion.” • “Israel is seeking to erase the memories of southern Lebanon, as though preparing to establish settlements in parts of it.” • Calls for internal dialogue based on the principle that only the Lebanese state has the right to possess weapons. • Says the only way to disarm Hezbollah is through dialogue and possibly a compromise, with the support of Iran and Israel. • Suggests that the British-Irish experience could serve as a model for Hezbollah’s disarmament, noting that even Margaret Thatcher accepted a compromise with the IRA. • “I cannot accept a hardline approach toward Hezbollah if it leads to civil war.” • “We cannot eliminate the Shia community or tell them to leave. They are part of Lebanon.” • Rejects the establishment of cantons, stressing that Christians and Muslims must continue living together. • Says Israel’s policy is aimed at erasing Palestinian national identity, from Gaza to the West Bank, while pursuing territorial expansion in Syria and Lebanon. • “Regardless of who wins the Israeli elections, nothing will change.” • Says Israeli policy is rooted in the Old Testament and biblical narratives. • Calls on the United States to send better diplomats and adopt better policies toward the region. • “Syria’s Druze are taking the wrong path by choosing to become a tool in Israel’s hands.” • “If we, as Druze, do not embrace broader movements of national solidarity and Arab nationalism, we are heading toward collective suicide.” • Says the Druze in Israel do not determine their own fate, arguing that the Israeli government makes decisions affecting Druze communities in both Israel and Syria. • Calls for engagement with Iran, arguing that Hezbollah’s actual policies have been determined in Tehran since Nasrallah’s assassination and that dialogue could help reduce escalation. • “The region’s crises will not end as long as Netanyahu, the Israeli government, or Israeli society believe they can do whatever they want through force.”
