this tribute to Catherine O'Hara at the Emmys was soooo sweet wow. and the camera cuts to Martin Short and Steve Martin crying...I'm not okay. her on-screen children Macaulay Culkin, Annie Murphy, and Dan Levy spoke so highly of her
Macaulay: "She was encouraging. She was warm. She was funny. But the word that I think of is 'momma.' She was my mom. She was our mom. And by extension, she was all of our mom. She may have forgotten me...twice! But we will always remember her."

Minneapolis Spiderman pleaded not guilty to fifth degree misdemeanor assault for punching Jake Lang. His lawyer claimed self defense & the defense of others because the people of Minnesota have a right to defend themselves from dangerous people like Jake Lang & his sidekicks.
This is a great snap shot of the temporal continental divide in America. You see faces, teeth, voices of Old America wearing the clothing and staging of New America. The builders of the Ad Age, not the children of it. Only my earliest memories touch this reality.

I'm sorry we never got a chance to meet, but getting this note from Dolly really had a an impact on me. She definitely didn't have to take the time to do it. Even for a kid who mostly listened to rap music, she was an icon. A superstar in every sense. Rest easy Dolly. And thank you for the kind words.
