Independent monitors report thousands of confirmed deaths of Iranian citizens killed by security forces in the 2025-26 protest crackdown. HRANA verified at least 7,007 (mostly protesters). Iran Human Rights named over 4,200 as a minimum. Official Iranian figure: 3,117 total (including some forces). Higher estimates of 12k-36k+ exist but remain less fully documented.
