Colston Loveland goes 12 yards for another #Bears touchdown to cap an impressive 9-play, 72-yard scoring drive to open the second half and regain momentum. (That's why you defer.) It's 27-14.

If I'm Dennis Allen and/or Ben Johnson, and Tyrique Stevenson is healthy enough to play every snap of the second half, I'd bench Jaylon Johnson. Lacking effort and execution, in that order, and the standard has to be higher. #Bears

What a terrible display of tackling on that 48-yard TD pass and run at end of first half...Jaylon Johnson exposed for his lack of interest in bringing ball carrier to the ground. Bad look. Costly play. It's 20-14 at half. #Bears

Tonight belongs to Luther Burden III. He takes quick screen and scampers 24 yards for TD and celebrates with Ben Johnson's "Stanky Leg" as #Bears take 20-7 lead with 14 seconds left. Problem Child indeed.

Drake Maye gifted that interception to D'Marco Jackson in the end zone and Jackson gladly accepted. Big mistake by Patriots QB, and #Bears defense comes up with turnover -- Maye's 8th red-zone interception in his career.

The illegal Joe Thuney handoff killed that drive. Ben Johnson reached deep into his bag of tricks just like Kevin Byard predicted. #Bears settle for 31-yard FG to take 13-7 lead with 7:04 left in second quarter.

Good challenge by Mike Vrabel. Drake Maye lunges for Patriots TD to make it 10-7. #Bears defense swarming but could become susceptible to the run. So far, secondary doing nice job of taking explosive plays away. Bears need long offensive drive in response.

Nice scamper by Swift, who scores first TD for #Bears after Luther Burden III -- Problem Child -- got loose for a 58-yard completion to set up score. Bears take 10-0 lead on Patriots with 1:38 left in first quarter.

Kyler Gordon with another big stop. His first five quarters of the season have been downright dominant. Instincts. Athleticism. Aggressiveness. You'd never guess he's missed as much time as he has. ...Pats punt.

That's a layup #Bears have to hit on third down, but Williams and Raymond miss. A little too early of a pass, a little too much velocity, so timing was off. Forces FG by Santos, and #Bears take early 3-0 lead.

Fourth-down blitz by Kyler Gordon -- who else? -- who chases down Drake Maye and gets a stop for the #Bears. Gordon opened up as nickel and moved around both sides of ball, Dennis Allen's favorite chess piece. Good opening series for DA. Maye looked tentative.

Feels like a big moment at Soldier Field; two Top 10 QBs and intense head coaches of playoff teams with 4-2 records. Short week favors #Bears, whose O-line is healthier. Ball control offense will help Bears defense stay off the field. Secondary needs to step up. Bears, 30-23.

Beautiful October night on Chicago’s lakefront for #Bears-Patriots, a game between two of best young QBs in the NFL and two of the most intense coaches. Great opportunity on big stage for the Bears.
