Good. Might be dawning on some Europeans that most of the populist parties who are wrapping themselves in the flag, are really more stalking horses for Russia.

Just thinking ie stole from elsewhere, if you want real economic uncertainty, commit to leaving the ECHR. That will tear up the existing UK-EU trade agreement, and quite possibly lead to US retaliatory measures because of Northern Ireland. But yeah, don't talk about movement.

#bbcbreakfast Brexit has not been “reopened because of Andy Burnham”, but because: - it’s turned out to be a costly mistake - geopolitics shows we can’t rely on the US, but need to work with our neighbours with whom we share common interests - the public has turned against it

Disappointing to hear Andy Haldane talking such nonsense. The 2016 Brexit referendum created a cloud of uncertainty because it led to trade barriers going up. Rejoining the EU would bring trade barriers down.

Ending FOM and leaving the SM has vastly increased immigration (the Brexintelligentsia's main argument for ending it) while slashing opportunities for UK citizens, businesses, musicians etc. Nobody voted to end it. Why the snide tone, @bbcnickrobinson? 2/2

Listening to Nick Robinson's contemptuous tone when talking about FOM on @BBCr4today this morning I was shocked and puzzled. The UK prospered for decades with FOM. It never became an issue until the EU ref and even leading Leave figures promoted SM membership. 1/n

So wholesale price is 12.3p/kWh and we pay 26.32p/kWh plus £200 a year standing charge (both GB average). Hmmm.
UK Wind Power has fallen to 19.1GW this morning. With 1.3GW of Solar we are burning 6.7GW of Gas as well as exporting 1.5GW. Hydro is 0.6GW. Nuclear is 5.1GW and the awful Biomass 2.3GW. The price of wholesale electricity over the past 24 hours was £123 per MWh

Robert Jenrick wasn’t born when decimalisation happened in the UK. Nobody under the age of 65 will understand it, that’s about 80% of the population. Ridiculous idea, ridiculous party, ridiculous man.

Brexit Britain is the world’s first ever example of a country applying sanctions to itself. Those who believe in it claim we haven’t had Brexit yet bc it’s not doing as they dreamed it would. But Brexit is doing just as remainers said it would. Erecting trade barriers is self harming.
'Leaving the European Union was the biggest act of economic self harm any country has ever committed' Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan, told #BBCBreakfast Andy Burnham 'is spot on' about having an "honest discussion" ove the prospect of returning to free movement between the UK and European Union bbc.co.uk/news/articles/c8e3…

🇬🇧🇪🇺 Brexit is over. The EU will offer the UK a new interim agreement at the November summit. The UK will accept, allowing it to integrate into certain areas of the EU. Reintegration will happen (formally or in practice) over the comming years Even without formally rejoining, the plan is for the UK to return in practice through steps that do not require a referendum. Europe must be united.

Farage touchy on the Brexit question. He points to US GDP growth. The US has *so many* huge problems (not just its colossal debt) brewing, that that GDP level and recent growth are powered by dangerous borrowing and speculation. I’d feel economically safer in the EU than US.
