I spent three years watching the horror of Gaza, three years writing about it, and three years protesting it. NAZA does none of that. It's an updating of the famous Milgram experiment in social obedience. It's a foretaste of the terrifying dangers of the AI rollout. And it's a case study in the human capacity for evil. If you want more of the *what* of Gaza, NAZA will disappoint. If you want the *why*, seek it out. My full review in the reply post below ⬇️

In 1324, Mansa Musa of Mali made a pilgrimage to Mecca. He traveled with 60,000 people and 100 camel-loads of gold. He gave away so much gold in Cairo that he collapsed the regional gold market for a decade. A decade. From generosity on a journey. His empire covered more territory than Western Europe. His capital, Niani, was a center of scholarship, trade, and governance sophisticated enough that visiting Arab historians wrote about it with undisguised admiration. This was not a primitive society waiting for civilization to arrive. This was a civilization. One of the great ones. By any measure that wasn’t specifically designed to exclude it. The colonizers who arrived in West Africa centuries later did not bring civilization to a void. They dismantled something that was already there. The textbooks that don’t mention Mansa Musa at all, not once, not a paragraph, are not gaps in education. They are a decision. Made deliberately. Maintained consistently. Because his existence changes the sentence.

I want to share something with you all today that is pertinent to the discourse out of the U.K on the report released on rampant “antisemitism” in British schools that has led to the special and urgent response from the U.K gov. accepting all 27 recommendations. A very clear example of Jewish supremacy and exceptionalism. As some of you know, due to an avalanche of Zionist complaints, I was ousted from my senior advisor DEI role in jan 2024 for my Palestine advocacy. Months later, they refused to renew my contract as a professor, too - citing my tweets as “uncivil and unprofessional” because they knew the charge of “antisemitism” could never hold. Anyway, I wrote a book that exposed the entire sham of the DEI industry, with a very special section on Jewish supremacy and exceptionalism, which made many people uncomfortable at the time. Regardless, I self published it for obvious reasons, and it did really well - 2000 copies sold in just a few months. I know! Yay! Annnnnyyyyyway….here’s the part that matters - I recently learned that one of the highest ranking universities in the western world not only ordered and stocked my book in its library, but a professor has included specifically my chapter on Jewish supremacy in the course pack for their course on social justice. A few months ago, another professor who came to my book launch told me that her students keep bringing my tweets to class discussions and papers in her course about digital activism and social justice. And so far, DEI reps from multiple school boards have bulk ordered my book for their teachers. Basically, they tried to remove me from the institution but my voice echoes in its classrooms nonetheless. I’m haunting their hallways from exile. 🤓 Take my story as a lesson. Don’t be fooled and silenced by their mass cryfests and victim outbursts and media lynch mob campaigns online. Zionists have lost their grip on the narrative. The truth is too hard to look away from anymore. Now is not the time to retreat.

I am so disgusted with these people
Buried on page 30 of 'Sir' David Bellend's report into antisemitism in schools in the UK it explicitly says there hasn't been a rise in antisemitism, only in anti-Israel sentiment. Astonishingly fraudulent crisis/debate, all to shield a genocidal state

In January 2025 my mom’s lung cancer spread to her brain. The drug with the best chance of helping her was approved in China but not here. A doctor told me, almost as an aside, that if she were Chinese she could buy it at a pharmacy. So I flew to Shanghai and came home with 26 boxes in my luggage. That was 19 months ago. My mom is still here, still working, and in her words has had an amazing three years. The drug was approved in China in 2023. The FDA approved it in July 2025. It still is not for sale here. I know of at least 30 Americans who have made the same trip. I have been scared to tell this story because I worried it could cost my mom access to the medicine keeping her alive. But the problem matters more than my silence. These drugs need to be developed and available here, and that means FDA reform. Art Allen at KFF Health News told our story this week. It also ran in The Washington Post. kffhealthnews.org/health-ind…

Tonight, @UofT Student Union passed a motion calling on the University of Toronto to boycott partnerships with institutions that contribute to the illegal occupation of Palestine or that deny Palestinian human rights. Bravo to all of the students who organized and voted. The motion reads: "BE IT RESOLVED that the UTSU calls on UofT to end institutional partnerships with all institutions involved in the denial of basic human rights or in maintaining the Israeli occupation, and do not recognize or support the rights of Palestinians under international law including but not limited to: the right to self-determination, the right to equal rights as citizens in their homeland, and the right of return to their homeland. This includes the UofT-HUJI Research Alliance and Entrepreneurship Highway, the Lyon Sachs Engineering Research Fund, the Coburn Fellowship, and other partnerships." #BDS #FreePalestine 📷 @occupyuoft instagram.com/p/De0OBpyO_PO/
DROP HUJI: Occupy UofT and TSSP's new campaign demands UofT cut all academic ties with Hebrew U. If you'd link to get involved or learn more about the campaign, we will be having a Town Hall on March 13. There is also a petition and email blast. Details: linktr.ee/occupy.uoft

“It was like this biblical battle where the Palestinian men … went in front of me to protect … me and my rescuers from being attacked again,” Washington Post photojournalist Heidi Levine told Jake Tapper. Palestinian men put themselves between her and her attackers. Remember that when Palestinians are portrayed only as threats, never as people risking their lives to protect others. As @DropSiteNews reports, Levine was kicked, beaten with clubs and robbed by Israeli settlers while covering an olive harvest in the occupied West Bank, leaving her with multiple broken bones. She said Israeli soldiers charged Palestinian farmers as settlers advanced alongside them. But perhaps the most devastating part of her account is her recognition that Palestinians endure this violence daily, with nowhere safe to go. What happens to the people who remain after an injured journalist is evacuated and the cameras leave? Who protects the men who stepped forward to protect her? Palestinians should not need foreign witnesses beside them to harvest their own olives. Their safety should matter whether an American journalist is there to tell the story or not. Please watch—and support @DropSiteNews.

Walzer gets it backwards (again): Israel’s war on Gaza did not become unjust because of its cruelty; it was unjust from the beginning as a modality of a politically, morally and legally untenable occupation. It has always been wrong to think an unjust war could be waged justly.
Michael Walzer published “Just and Unjust Wars,” an attempt to delineate the rights and wrongs of warfare in both its causes and its conduct, in 1977. In the nearly 50 years since, no other book on the subject has matched its influence. The precepts are not complicated: it is just to defend your country from an invasion and it is unjust to invade a country that has not attacked you—although Walzer does allow for exceptions, mostly for humanitarian causes. It is just to assume certain risks to avoid civilian casualties and it is unjust to bomb towns indiscriminately to compel an enemy to surrender. The justice of going to war—what philosophers call jus ad bellum—is separate from jus in bello, the justice of how a war is fought. The war in Gaza has made Walzer rethink one of the book’s fundamental principles. “The wall between jus ad bellum and jus in bello, which had sustained his theory for almost half a century, was no longer sturdy,” Jordi Graupera writes. As Walzer said to him, “There is a sense in which the carnage of Gaza, the ongoing carnage, simply made the war unjust.” Read about why a philosopher of war is now reconsidering his seminal work: newyorkermag.visitlink.me/T7…

The Centre for Israel and Jewish Affairs wants the ability to campaign to revoke my wife and millions of other Canadians’ citizenship. And anyone who believes they wouldn’t seek to expel opponents of genocide, hasn’t been paying attention. Historically, Canadian Jewish organizations were viewed as sympathetic to refugees and immigrants because there’s a history of Jewish expulsion. No more. As part of their defence of whatever crimes Israel commits, they now advocate against immigrants. The Canadian Antisemitism Education Foundation has called to deport non-citizens who back resistance to colonial rule while hardline Zionist influencers regularly post about deporting protesters. In a major escalation of their anti-immigrant agenda, the Centre for Israel and Jewish Affairs (CIJA) has been lobbying government officials to expand the grounds by which Canadian citizenship can be revoked. According to filings with the federal lobbyist registry, the official advocacy agent of Canada’s Jewish federations expressed: “Continued support for revocation of citizenship in cases involving war crimes, crimes against humanity, terrorism, and extreme promotion of hate; strengthened screening to bar entry and deny citizenship to individuals who pose security threats or have ties to extremist or terrorist organizations; removal of individuals already in Canada who obtained status through false representation; establishment of a fast-track removal stream for high-risk individuals linked to foreign extremist organizations; accelerated removals for individuals convicted of violent crimes; and standalone immigration consequences for expressing support for listed terrorist entities, even in the absence of criminal convictions.” Since March CIJA representatives have met staff from the Prime Minister’s Office and Public Safety Canada, as well as the director of CSIS and multiple MPs, to discuss stripping the citizenship of Israel critics. Citizenship acquired by birth is permanent, which is unlikely to change since revoking a ‘Canadian-only’ citizens’ status would make them stateless. That would defy Canada’s obligations under the Convention on the Reduction of Statelessness and the Convention on the Rights of the Child. As such, it is extremely unlikely CIJA is seeking or could win legislation that would allow them to target the citizenship of Canada-born individuals. But some right-wing forces, including the Stephen Harper government, promote two-tiered citizenship. In 2014 the Conservatives adopted legislation that allowed for revoking citizenship of the eight million Canadians born elsewhere if they were convicted of terrorism, espionage or treason. Second-class citizenship legislation was largely repealed by the Justin Trudeau government, which argued “a Canadian is a Canadian is a Canadian.” Currently, only those born elsewhere can have their citizenship revoked for lying or fraud in acquiring said status. According to a federal government website on “Revoking citizenship”, “Your Canadian citizenship may be revoked (taken away) if you: · Committed fraud · Misrepresented yourself · Knowingly hid information on an immigration or citizenship application.” · CIJA wants that to change. In part, CIJA’s push to revoke citizenship is simply a racist dog whistle to smear anti-genocide protesters. They are promoting the idea that Muslims/Arabs/Brown people are importing antisemitism/extremism/terrorism. But there’s also a more concrete aim. They want a new way to discipline/scare opponents of genocide and Israel’s endless crimes across the region. CIJA’s pursuit of “standalone immigration consequences for expressing support for listed terrorist entities, even in the absence of criminal convictions” means they could press an immigration official to revoke someone’s citizenship without even requiring a criminal conviction. They could target someone for saying, “the Samidoun Palestinian Political Prisoners Solidarity Network has done important work in opposing Canadian complicity in genocide.” That statement is, of course, true. Listed as a terrorist organization two years ago, Vancouver based Samidoun organized demonstrations against genocide and played a substantial role in driving anti-Palestinian BC NDP MP Selina Robinson out of cabinet. The main organization that got Samidoun listed, CIJA, is seeking to expand the list of entities one could lose their citizenship for “expressing support for”. In response to Palestine Action Canada claiming responsibility for vandalizing (mostly red paint) a Peterborough facility of Elbit owned arms firm GeoSpectrum Technologies, last week CIJA reiterated its call to designate Palestine Action Canada as a terrorist entity. If they succed in getting Palestine Action Canada listed and convince the government to adopt their citizenship revocation proposal, CIJA and other advocates of genocide would go after someone who said, “Palestine Action Canada should be celebrated for seeking to disrupt the flow of arms to commit genocide.” If CIJA succeeds in expanding the parameters under which people can lose their citizenship, they will use it against opponents of genocide. It would be an escalation of their efforts — often successful — to have opponents of genocide fired, jailed or suspended from school. In the short term, it’s unlikely CIJA will succeed in their maximalist citizenship aims. But just the fact they are seeking this type of leverage demonstrates their authoritarian character. The Centre for Israel and Jewish Affairs would definitely push to revoke the citizenship of thousands of Canadians to protect their belove genocidal Jewish supremacist state.

Cool! My article on ‘preventing births’ within the South Africa v. Israel genocide case has been included in the most recent @CIJ_ICJ Bibliography. I argue the case provides an opportunity to conceptualize gendered violence against men & boys as reproductive violence.

Unlike the Venice Film Festival, where the documentary NAZA received a record 25-minute standing ovation, the sold-out screening I attended greeted the film's end with stunned silence. The credits rolled. The lights went up. We traipsed to the exit. No one said a word. That seemed a much more fitting response than the one in Venice. Ever since, I have been pondering what exactly our stunned silence meant. Was it shock at the horrors inflicted on Gaza? Not really. Barely any of the destruction and mass-killing was shown. We have seen far, far more of the genocide live-streamed on our phones. Was it the fact that none of the interviewees appeared to regard the official figure of nearly 75,000 dead in Gaza, and more than 175,000 maimed, a Hamas-inspired fiction, as the Israeli government continues to claim, with the western media following suit? In fact, the strong impression conveyed by the military insiders interviewed by the film-makers is that the true death toll is likely to be far higher. Was it the astonishing lack of self-awareness and reflection among most of the interviewees, who spoke drily – mostly indifferently – about the technical aspects of Israel’s innovative AI systems, which drove target selection to destroy homes and kill Palestinians on an unprecedented, industrial scale? Selected from more than 100 Israeli military personnel who spoke to the film-makers off camera, the chosen 24 included some who had helped engineer what they called a “factory” for murdering Palestinians. Others operated this production line, killing by algorithm, as though, in their words, they were playing a “video game“. According to the interviewed soldiers, for every person suspected of being in Hamas, however junior their status, Israel authorised the killing of between 20 and more than 100 NAZA – the Hebrew acronym for Palestinian bystanders, including women and children. When Hamas carried out its one-day attack on Israel in October 2023, the Israeli military claimed the group had around 30,000 fighters. In addition, Israel – and its AI machinery – connected a far larger portion of the population to Hamas, if only because individuals worked for the Gaza government’s political, bureaucratic and administrative arms, from school teachers to doctors and nurses. The film’s interviewer, Yuval Abraham, put to one interviewee a simple observation about the maths. According to the logic of Israel’s NAZA doctrine – permitting potentially dozens of civilian deaths for every Hamas-linked target – almost the entire 2 million inhabitants of Gaza were viewed as acceptable “collateral damage”. The intelligence official mulled this point for some time, as though it had never occurred to him, before agreeing. This is an extract from my latest article NAZA is not just about Israel and Gaza. It’s about the evil lurking in us all. Find a link to the rest in the reply post below ⬇️
