The afters
Good to see the players still able to chat with the #SSAway supporters. Obviously gutted at the result but still happy to chat.

The Loss
Deserved congratulations to Quins, for winning their first Prem match of the season, and to Marcus Smith for 200 games, a try, try-saving defence and PotM.
Saracens will play better than this.
💫 tries: Segun, Dan, Tompkins (not Malins 🙈)

💫 Stoop low
A sad day in TW2 seeing a disjointed and largely toothless Saracens go down to a heavy 33-15 defeat to Quins.
Good to see @QuinssaRugby, some of the best people in the game, and the sunshine.
We hope StoneX on Saturday will better!

Another week, another rotation but the combinations failed to fire this week against Quins. The hosts thoroughly deserved their win: more intensity, more discipline, more accuracy and less mistakes.
Carre’s scrum power the only real joy.
Move on. NRB next week.

They’ve done it again!
Congratulations to Canada on a second successive win over England. The last time the Red Roses lost two games in a row was back in 2016……10 years ago!
Canada women are changing the landscape in women’s rugby and it’s what the game needs for it to grow. Sophie de Goede has also shown exactly why she is current World Rugby Player of the Year. She is a machine.
I do feel for the England team. To experience one defeat is tough, but to go through it again within a week is brutal. Sport is truly a humbling place. When you’re winning, it’s great, but when you lose everything is amplified. The England team will learn from this experience and be better for it.

💫 Going to Quins on Sunday?
Some of us will be at The Cabbage Patch, 67 London Road, Twickenham TW1 3SZ, from 12pm. It's opposite Twickenham station, so it's ideal if you're coming by train. Nothing formal, and it gets very busy, but come and say hello.
If you're parking at Rosebine Car Park, you may prefer to meet us at the ground, as it's close by.
Everyone's welcome, members or not.

DISAPPOINTMENT IN GALWAY
A terrific #SSAway group made plenty of noise, but ended the day deflated as Connacht deservedly won 45-36.
Sarries started brightly, racing 12-0 ahead through Sione Va’enuku and Noah Caluori, before Connacht hit back with 19 unanswered points.
Nick Tompkins made it 19-19 at half-time, but Connacht took control after the break. Ciarán Frawley scored twice and Caolin Blade added another as the hosts opened up a decisive lead.
Sione grabbed his second and Elliot Daly scored late, but Owen Farrell’s final conversion drifted wide, denying Sarries a losing bonus point.
Connacht also missed out on a try bonus despite scoring seven, under the revised competition rules. That change is already causing plenty of debate.
A disappointing Champions Cup start, but no shortage of fight.
Saracens will bounce back. We’ll be right behind them. ⚫️🔴
Tries: Va’enuku 2, Caluori, Tompkins, Segun, Daly
