This is a big deal. It will unlock billions of extra investment for infra and business, creating 100,000 jobs. It’s another way this gov’t is turning things around after years when we sat at the bottom of the public and private investment league tables under the Tories

This is an important moment. @LucyMPowell is absolutely right to call antisemitism in education and beyond a crisis. I’ve met with ministers repeatedly on this issue & I welcome that the Government is accepting all 27 of the report’s recommendations. We are determined to defeat this vile hatred

I want Britain’s energy wealth to spark a new wave of clean power.
Our decision to approve Jackdaw alongside the new Energy Wealth Fund means we invest in green transition and benefit from our existing natural resources.

🚨NEW: Andy Burnham has announced crackdown on anti-social behaviour on public transport.
This is an important and principled move. We are doing it because it is right and to uphold our values. Green politicians across the country now have a choice to make. Will they reject this abhorrent, antisemitic motion?
BREAKING: The Labour Party has said that power-sharing agreements with the Green Party will end unless local Greens explicitly reject their party's "Zionism is racism" policy
The Labour Party has asked all Labour groups in power-sharing agreements with the Green Party to review their arrangements in local government after the prime minister's words at PMQs yesterday.
Bridget Phillipson MP, Chair of the Labour Party, said:
“The Prime Minister has been completely clear: this policy is wrong and antisemitic, and has no place in British politics.
“Where local Labour Parties currently have an arrangement with the Greens in local government, we expect their Green counterparts to make clear that they reject this position and to call on their national leadership to reconsider the policy.
“We have asked local Green groups to respond as a matter of urgency. Where they are unable to provide that assurance, Labour will bring any such local arrangement to an end. This isn’t an issue of party politics; it’s about doing what is right and upholding the values anyone holding public office should share.
“The Labour Party fought hard to address antisemitism within our own party and ensure it had no place in our politics. We have a responsibility to uphold those same standards in our relationships with other parties.”
Coming in the same week as the IMF upgrade, these figures show the economy is once again outperforming expectations. This isn’t by accident. It’s because of the decisions the Government is making-not least strengthening the public finances and reducing borrowing faster than any other G7 country
Was great to welcome the brilliant @Sagal_AW to Parliament today.
As Deputy Leader, I was delighted to join @andyburnham in welcoming our newest member of the PLP @Sagal_AW to Westminster today 🌹
Hi @griffitha you appear to not understand basic economics. Your policy would create huge incentives-40p saved on every £-for the rich to upsize. Independent analysis by @DanNeidle suggests that this transfer could double the cost of your proposal, which you already have no credible plans to pay for. And that’s before we talk about its effects on the housing market. This isn’t serious policy making.
It’s right that Laura Johnson has left her position. I wrote to the Chair of the Barnet Group some time ago to share my deep concerns over her the appointment and to demand they reconsider their decision. They should have never appointed someone criticised by the Grenfell Inquiry.
Utterly pathetic. Even now, he can’t give a straight answer or call the motion what it clearly is-antisemitic
On his watch, the Greens have adopted the same policy that the National Front did in the 80s.
Faced with a test of leadership, he hid. But his cowardice won’t save him. The extremists will always demand more.

Polling day is here in Holborn and St Pancras! Great to be out with colleagues and members for the fantastic @Sagal_AW who will be an outstanding MP.
Work experience gave me my first step into the world of work. Today, too many young people simply aren’t getting the same opportunity.
That’s why I’m using my Private Member’s Bill to help change that. 👇
It’s election day! Busy morning on the doors in Holborn and St.Pancras for @Sagal_AW

I know people are worried about fuel prices. And I get it. You get to the pump, watch the numbers climb, and wonder why it's costing so much more than it used to.
The reality is that global events are pushing up costs, and families here at home are feeling the impact.
But I won't accept that there's nothing I can do to help.
That's why from today, you'll be able to see petrol and diesel prices on Google Maps, compare nearby stations and find the cheapest option before you fill up.
It's a small change, but if there's a practical way to help people keep more money in their pocket, I'll do it.
