I was here but now I'm gone. I left my name to carry on. Those who liked me, liked me well. Those who didn't can stay in X hell.

I’m on bluesk💙 now. I don’t live here anymore, thought I’d drive by the old neighborhood. So many people here unhappy about the current POTUS EOs. But… Musk paid for his election efforts. With money from X. That comes from advertisers. Who pay because you are still here.

Musk: “Please post a bit more positive, beautiful or informative content on this platform.” The untweeted part: “Because I don’t know what that looks like.” Sorry, too little, too late, we all went to Bluesky to get our happy on. Hypocritical deplorable weirdo. #TwitterFail

Hmm A citizen of any state is a US citizen. U.S. Const. art. IV. Any US citizen who resides in a state is a citizen of that state. U.S. Const. amend. XIV. Nothing prevents a state from declaring any person to be a state citizen. And thus, a US citizen. constitutioncenter.org/the-c…

Trump is back. And so too are the warnings… The Horror of the Hour: The H5N1 Bird Flu is now spreading in Washington and California rather quickly. Dozens of humans in those states have been infected. Sound familiar? This could be worse than Covid. #Covidiots #Flu #H5N1

I stand corrected. The Mongolian Empire was larger than the Soviet Union (an empire built on its ability to bypass all walls), and though non-contiguous, the British Empire encompassed more land than any other (without walls at all) and still stands, kinda. #Border #Wall

Reflection: Why don’t walls effectively protect empires? My thoughts: Empires are cultural constructs, not physical places to defend. If the empire isn’t viable enough to prevent cultural decay, it is doomed. Walls prevent infusion of ideas. #Border #Wall #Immigration #MAGArot

The 8 Great Walls: 8. The US Border Wall An utter and abysmal failure. Built to stem immigration, which increased. Those who fail to study history are doomed to repeat it. Empires that build walls fall rather quickly, long before the walls do. 8/8 #Border #Wall #Immigration

The 8 Great Walls: 7. The Berlin Wall Built at the height of the Cold War to keep East Berliners from entering West Berlin and protect against Western influence. The wall’s fall was prescient to the fall of the Soviet Union, the largest empire ever known. 7/8 #Border #Wall

The 8 Great Walls: 5. The Great Wall of China The greatest of the 8, meant to protect China from Barbarians. Mongols and Manchus both breached it with ease, and the Ming Empire fell. 5/8 #Border #Wall

The 8 Great Walls: 4. Hadrian’s Wall Emperor Hadrian ordered the construction of this 73-mile rampart to protect Roman Britain from the Picts and the other “barbarian” tribes of northern England and Scotland. Abandoned 20 years later. #Border #Wall 4/8 #Border #Wall

The 8 Great Walls: 3. The Great Wall of Gorgan 121 mile-long rampart. One of the longest walls of antiquity, more than 30 forts, a garrison of 30,000 troops, a network of canals as both a water supply and a defensive moat. Its creators are unknown, forgotten. 3/8 #Border #Wall

The 8 Great Walls: 2. The Long Walls of Athens Athens, a land-locked city state, built two walls, to protect an 8-mile corridor to the sea, for sea-supply in times of siege. It did the job until the Athens Navy was destroyed, then it hastened Athens defeat. 2/8 #Border #Wall
