Republicans rank patriotism as something the country needs more of. Democrats put it near the bottom — and this year they basically boycotted America 250. Love of country, contingent. Link 👇

It's almost like they want to take over everything they can't control and object to, until there's nothing left outside of their power, but that couldn't be it.
Robert Reich wants SpaceX nationalized. Paul Krugman wants Starlink 'taken away' from Musk. Turns out the anti-weaponization crowd just wanted the weapon. Link 👇

The Sunday shows didn't interview the Attorney General. They pre-indicted him. Dana Bash went with January 6th, and Margaret Brennan went with hypothetical after hypothetical. Link 👇

It has nothing to do with Gaza or even Palestinians. It has simply become a global symbol for wanting the destruction of western civilization.

Groceries cost too much, so blame the Jews. That isn't a new economic theory. It's a very old one with a very ugly track record. If Abdul El-Sayed wants Michigan's votes, he can tell us whether he stands behind this ad. Silence is an answer too.
Cenk Uygur put together an obviously antisemitic ad for Abdul El-Sayed trying to blame Israel and its Jewish supporters for higher grocery prices. It might as well be translated to German and have a Weimar Republic stamp. But no one should care about Cenk. He’s a fat loser who screams nonsense and doesn’t matter. What does matter is that Abdul El-Sayed agrees with him. This is his message. He wants to raise your taxes, increase costs for businesses, and then scapegoat Israel and its Jewish supporters for inevitable consequences of his shitty left-wing policies. All while prioritizing supporting anti-American extremists abroad over the actual interests of Michigan voters.

A very interesting discussion that builds on and improves the "suicidal empathy" thesis. If we think that it is "empathy" that drives women to identify with predators in victim groups, that doesn't explain the lack of empathy for their victims.
In this episode, I question whether “suicidal empathy” adequately explains what we’re seeing. I examine a different explanation: sensitivity to social consensus, status- seeking and the willingness to punish those who disagree.

Mass mental disorder…
NOW: Protesters outside Jerry Seinfeld show in Washington DC smash posters of Seinfeld and Israeli PM Netanyahu and condemn people on line to attend the event. They call Seinfeld part of a “propaganda campaign to normalize genocide.”

Paris is burning, ~1,000 cops wounded, Trotskyists openly calling for insurrection. French elites' response: warn about Marine Le Pen, and tell phone carriers to get ready to cut off X. They fear the witnesses more than the arsonists. link in reply

Anything can happen when no one can share news of what's happening. And anything can be said about it later.
Just in: France's Prime Minister asked telecom companies to prepare to block social media platforms. "I wish to have the ability to temporarily suspend access to these services in case of a repeat of urban violence," he wrote. @blast news broke the story.

We are constantly told that universal mail-in balloting is totally secure… I’ve always said that is inherently absurd, especially in nursing homes. But we just ran into a new issue here in Southern California… 3 ballots were placed in my in-laws locked mailbox by a post office mistake! This kind of thing must happen fairly regularly. There is effectively/virtually nothing to stop us from casting these ballots. How can anyone take this system of voting remotely seriously?! 🤔😱🤦‍♂️🤷‍♂️

“Hail is getting bigger.” Okay, so why is that not actually happening?
Across the country, hail causes billions of dollars in damage every year, and scientists believe that climate change will make things worse. Hail is getting bigger, and hailstorms are becoming larger and more frequent. wapo.st/4hYHp5N
