I strongly prefer Claude Duet channels over Grok Bot’s bots. I also love that each task gets its own thread. I also love that duet already knows my work. I’ve spent much less time setting it up.
But what I love about grok bot is the email and dedicated computer.
We’ve been humbled by the interest in Claude Duet, and are working hard to get people off the waitlist. In the meantime, a few thoughts based on DMs, emails, posts we’ve seen.
→ Who can use it: Pro and Max subscribers in the US, for now.
→ Where: You can use it on iOS, Android, and web once you get off the waitlist. Mac app is in the works.
→ Trust: We designed Claude Duet to be a partner you can trust. More on our safety, security, privacy approach in today’s blog post: claude.com/resources/article…
→ Use cases: We’re starting with work use cases, which is what a lot of people come to Claude for. Professionals, small business owners, founders, anyone juggling a lot. We’re opening the research preview to these segments first so we can co-build together. Over time, we'll support more use cases across work and life.
→ Context: Claude Duet already knows about everything you’ve been working on with Claude. Your chats, memory, projects, and more are available in Claude Duet the moment you open it.
→ Tasks: Tasks are at the center of the experience. Every task gets its own thread you can check in on and steer, so you can multi-task and hand off many things at once. Claude Duet also proactively suggests tasks it can take on, with your approval. We’re glad to see this primitive and dedicated tab resonating. More to come soon.
→ Proactive with judgment: Opus 5.5 is widely loved for complex real-world work and its natural communication style, and we’ve built around it for deep judgment. More work to be done here so it feels like a world-class teammate, coworker, chief of staff.
→ Channels: We went with one agent that works across your main chat and dedicated channels, so each area of work gets its own space. Small business owners and professionals are already using channels for customer support, marketing, bookkeeping, etc.
Starting next week, we’ll share more on how we built Claude Duet and how early testers are using it. We know usage limits and access outside the US are top of mind too, and are working on both. Please let us know what else we can improve - we're reading all your feedback.
Yup, I used fable on xhigh before opus 5.5 and I couldn’t get anywhere near my limits.
People complaining about usage limits are probably using too much javascript lol
I GIVE UP 💀
I tried EVERYTHING to burn through my Claude Max limits before the free reset expired.
30+ agents across 3 projects, Fable 5.1 and Opus 5.5 on High/Max effort, generated videos, ran audits, built features, and I'm literally about to launch a new app.
After all that:
82% weekly usage.
15% Fable.
30% current session.
The free reset expired before I could even use it 😭
Never thought I'd complain about having TOO MUCH AI usage.
Anthropic, you win. 😂
I created a task in Claude Duet that reads my email, highlights what I need to pay attention to, and lets me archive it directly from the chat.
HelpSpace increased its pricing and is forcing me to upgrade. It's not much more money, but it's annoying.
Say, why can't I build my own?
I own the emails
I own the support articles
I can build my own chat box
What a bad time to be forcing upgrades.
I can't wait to get my hands on this. I've been using Grok Bot, but Claude knows me inside and out at this point. Can't wait!
Unless you’re a writer, please stop using AI to write your scripts. If you’re not willing to take the time to write your thoughts down, why should I take the time to listen to them?
Now that we’ve cloned adobe products, can we make better versions of them? Ones that can be completely driven by agents.
Adobe UI has always been awful. Agents can remove these shackles.
Went out of town for lunch with some family. They decided to go thrifting.
I hate shopping, so I’m now sitting at a cafe building out features from my phone and reading my book ❤️
Building a huge time-saving feature for my non-technical cofounder. I built the foundation, then handed her my phone so she could tell Claude how to fine-tune it. She doesn’t know how to code. But she knows how it should work and how to communicate, so why can't she just talk to Claude?
Why couldn’t we hook her Claude up to our codebase? Maybe via Basecamp. For most of her requests, I’m just a middleman passing her card to my Claude. Then I could focus on tasks that require more technical expertise.
Lots to think about.
The internet has too many videos, and I don’t have time to watch even the ones I want.
Grok Bot to the rescue!
It watches the video for me, transcribes it, and tells me the main takeaways.
My business tracks expenses using a custom-built expense tracker via an API.
Claude makes it easy to make API changes with both codebases in context. I made an API change and updated my main codebase at the same time, in the same chat.
How it feels...
This song has been stuck in my head the last hour. Oldie but a goodie.
