RIP Andy. I’ll always be grateful to you for helping start my career in football when we setup @SUFCOfficial website while at college. We had some amazing times that I’ll never forget. My thoughts are with his wife Katie, their 2 daughters & the rest of his family.

Friends and family of life long supporter Andy Britcliffe have travelled to today’s game as they celebrate his life following his recent passing.
Back in the late 90s and early 2000’s , Andy actually developed the club’s first website and has continued to support the team home and away despite moving down south with work.
Donations in Andy’s honour were made by dozens of people who’s lives were positively impacted by him, and that money has been spent buying shares in the club in the name of his beloved daughters.
Many of those friends and family will also be meeting up when the Iron travel to Woking on December 20th.

It was an absolute honour to know John. His knowledge & love of @SUFCOfficial was unrivalled. He was always a welcoming familiar face when I returned to GP and always had time for a chat. I will miss seeing him. RIP John my thoughts are with Christine & the rest of the family.
A statement from the family of John Staff following his passing this morning.
Everyone at the club sends their deepests condolences to John's family and friends.
As soon as we have details of John's funeral, we will share information, as we are sure that many supporters will wish to pay their respects.
It’s very difficult to prove a referee has made a clear and obvious error to get a card overturned. Fortunately the 3 person panel agreed with our assessment on this occasion.

Massive respect to the #GTFC owner @jstockwood for donating to help pay the wages of @SUFCOfficial staff. Without a rival there’s no football rivalry.
Incredible support from Scunthorpe fans and wider football community. #iron
The Iron Bru podcast and The Iron Hour podcast have created a Gofundme page to support staff at Scunthorpe United FC. Today is payday at the club, and staff have not been paid. Please help to aid everyone at the club and share far and wide! #UTI

Very worrying times if a supporter is not allowed to express a differing view or opinion on the Club they support without fear of being banned. They’d be many empty stadiums up and down the country if the norm was to ban fans for being critical of their club or club ownership.
Former Hull City player and Scunthorpe Utd player & Manager Russ Wilcox is raising money for Breast Cancer Now. Read his and his wife Rach’s story at their @JustGiving page and please donate if you can. Thank you! #hcafc #iron #uti #JustGiving justgiving.com/fundraising/p…
A huge loss to the Club - Chris has been a fantastic servant and someone who has dedicated himself to raising standards in varied roles. I genuinely believe @SUFCOfficial will struggle to find the skills required to fill his shoes in one person.

Last deadline of the season fast approaching. Before the invention of transfer windows clubs used to be able to sign players up to the fourth Thursday in March at 5pm. This now only applies to non-league football and EFL loans and transfers into that level.
The FA have decided not to charge the Club following the pyrotechnic at Coventry. The incident will remain on record & will form part of the FA’s consideration in whether to charge the Club if similar incidents occur. Get behind the team at Reading but please no pyros #hcafc
Amazing what you can do with floodlights. A few years ago during a @SUFCOfficial game we had an electrician holding on the breaker with a piece of wood to stop a different kind of light show. The lights had already gone off 3 times & the referee was threatening to call it off.

The Club are also reported to the FA each time it happens. A fine or worse is heading our way if it continues #hcafc
