It was a pleasure hosting colleagues from the World Bank (Alex Gibbs, @Natalia Danilova, and Caroline Badra Sadacca) to discuss the 2025 World Bank shareholding review and how it could be used to advance transformative ideas in global economic governance and cooperation.
On 23 January, UNU-CPR and the @WorldBank co-hosted a "Deep Dive" into the Bank’s five-yearly Shareholding Reviews, which shape its governance & enhance the voice of developing countries.
We thank all participants, the World Bank’s Corporate Secretariat & the @BahaiBIC_Rights.
We look forward to supporting the Office of the President of the General Assembly over the course of the year and to collaborations in the areas of conflict prevention and global economic cooperation.

Credit ratings play a critical role in the global economy, but are complex and controversial. We brought together experts in finance & policy to discuss how credit ratings work and how they can be improved. It was an honor to host such distinguished experts.
It was a pleasure to host colleagues from @UNDP for this important dialogue. Warm thanks for your excellent contributions, which provided insights into ongoing capacity building efforts to strengthen engagement with credit rating actors.
Affordable development financing and transparency were key themes at today's session by @UNUCPR.
Focusing on #CreditRatings, speakers highlighted that reforming the global financial architecture isn't just for Africa – it’s a global challenge that requires collective action.
