It took a good
year
or two
before I started
missing
the old place
I tried hard
to convince
myself
that leaving
was for the
best
this went on
for a while
until eventually
I started
to really miss
the old place
wishing I’d never
moved
thinking about
ways
I might get
back there
finally I drove
three hours
back to
the old town
I was elated
when I pulled
into the
old neighborhood
and saw my
old neighbor
(still looking
real good)
who used to teach
high school
then went back
to school herself
to get a PhD
and the promotion
that came with it
she’s out in
the yard
with the same
insanely short
brown skirt
she always wears
when raking
leaves
in autumn
she sees me
as I drive up
the old road
then pull over
to chitchat
she reminds
me of all
the good
times
when had
when she
came over
to visit
for dinner
and wine
now I’m really
missing
the old place
questioning
why the hell
I left
I take some
perverse solace
in the fact
that the new guy
painted
my old house
in a hideous color
that looks
like death
and my old cute
neighbor
doesn’t visit him
for dinner
much less
for wine

Always, a double-shot kiss to begin the day. To live a thousand years, you put the sky into my mouth. And you would return, elated like the tide. And we woud lay down before suppering to make the positions of the planets, all ways■

#vss365 “Enjoy the feast, mortals, but make no sound,” warned the Archfae. “Stay your raptures or be guests of this castle forever.”
They ate and drank in silence until a servant stumbled, spilling wine across their captor's robes. Delighted to see him humiliated, they erupted in #cheering.
The banquet vanished. Doors slammed shut.
Their captor wiped his robes and smiled. “Never fails.” #Edvane #DarkFantasy

The shoreline evolved,
as the seas crept inward,
The water's hunger kept increasing,
the land becoming its ultimate victim.
The sea became a carving knife,
slicing the land without mercy,
The perplexity surrounding human apathy,
has aided the ruthlessness of the sea.
So many lands have been surrendered,
as seen in the annals of history,
There are many more joining the list,
as we surrender our landscape back to nature.
The sea cheers us on,
in its own inimitable way,
We think of it as mere waves,
The bare minimum we understand about nature.
Elixir of life on one side,
Consumer of lands on the other,
Water's dichotomy is intriguing,
even if it is destroying our lands.

#vss365 “Master, how did our world #start?”
“We murdered a god, boy. Built our kingdoms upon its bones, filled its wounds with oceans and drew our magic from its dying flesh.”
“Then why does the earth tremble?”
The old wizard stared into the fire. “Because we never taught it how to die.” #Edvane #DarkFantasy

Start, and in German the word for it comes last.
Ich fange morgen an — I start tomorrow. The 'an' waits at the end, so nothing tells you it is about beginning until it is over.
She said it every Monday for a year.
Nobody stayed to the end. #vss365

Where will the
night take us,
lips and tongue
starting a path,
tracing every inch
of skin, until we
detonate into a
brand-new star

I'm often thinking
About the dichotomy
Between us sweetie
You're so silent
I'm so talkative
The fluidity of
Speaking rapidly
Over the silver blooms
Of my anxiety
I should start poetry of Perseverence
As soon as I can
