This is Miyamoto. At 7am PT today, we will release a video covering Pikmin-related information on Nintendo’s official YouTube channel. There will be no information about new games, but we hope you tune in.
THE HUNGER GAMES: SUNRISE ON THE REAPING feels like the follow up to Catching Fire I have always wanted. It’s a near perfect Hunger Games movie that is more brutal than you could imagine. Joseph Zada embodies a more hopeful Haymitch that I was enamoured to see evolve into the Haymitch we know and love.
The films use of colour, cinematography and effects is immense and really brings this arena to life but I can’t stop thinking about how incredible Jesse Plemon’s is as Plutarch. At almost 3 hours this flies by and fans of the Hunger Games have got another guaranteed hit on their hands #TheHungerGames #sunriseonthereaping
WILDWOOD is absolutely mesmerising, it’s the highest form of art that you could possibly get in cinema. The fact that this film is handcrafted and put together shows the true power of what human art can do. I was consistently blown away by the scale and sheer technique on display never mind the harrowing story that was presented to me.
It’s dark and disturbing and even with what its marketing may imply, might not be suited for younger children. This is not a tale of whimsy and fun, but one of pain and grief. Despite all of that, I at times felt as though its world was a little cluttered. So many characters and individual dramas are set up that I feel as though this world was not done justice to in just one film. It’s hard not to be swept away by the visuals and talent at hand though 🍃 #Wildwood
CLAYFACE is exactly what the DCU needs right now. It’s dark, gruesome and paints a very exciting Gotham City that I can only hope we see more of soon. Importantly though this feels like a contained story that you can throughly enjoy without any prior knowledge of the character or DCU.
Tom Rhys Harries and Naomi Ackie have incredible chemistry and you will be wincing in your seat throughout. Our whole cinema was shouting and screaming during multiple moments, it certainly earns its 18 age rating. Prepare for the plane is all I’ll say 🫣 #Clayface #DCU
GHOSTS: THE POSSESSION OF BUTTON HOUSE is an absolutely stellar follow up to the modern classic BBC show Ghosts. It retains all the fun, humour and charm of the original show while upping the ante for the big screen. All of the Ghosts are doing an excellent job, but this is Simon Farnaby's movie at the centre and this is might be his best work (yes, I'm including Paddington!)
It throws in some really fun new plot elements that make it stand out from the rest, but after 3 years it's just nice to see these characters again interacting with each other. Plenty of British shows like this make the jump to the big screen and lose what made the show special, but this is one of the rare few that felt like a perfect continuation. Hopefully this isnt the last time we see Button House or its spooky inhabitants #Ghosts. .
ARTIFICIAL is harrowing to say the least. It’s The Social Network sequel we deserved with a game changing set of performances. Marketing isn’t really showing that this is actually a film about Ilya Sutskever played by Yura Borisov (who is once again outstanding and proves Anora wasn’t a one hit wonder). This perspective shift allows you to imprint on Ilya and become a voyeur to what feels like a modern tech Oppenheimer.
Andrew Garfield’s ability to make you sympathise with a monster by manipulating everything you see is nothing short of terrifying. Part of me wishes this was made with more style, as there’s glimmers of really creative choices but it’s mostly played pretty straight. Overall Artificial is a must watch and should be taken as a warning, that is if it’s not already too late #Artifical #LFF2026
KLARA AND THE SUN is a drastic return to form for Taika Waititi. Honing back to the mixture of comedy and heart that made his earlier work shine so bright. Jenna Ortega is great as the loveably clumsy AI robot, but the real standout is Mia Tharia who anchors this whole movie. While I’m not familiar with the source material, I am familiar with Never Let Me Go and this almost feels like a spiritual successor to both the book and film of that. While I wish Taika would go back to writing his own original stories, this is a lovely family film with an interesting creative vision I can’t see anyone not having a good time with ☀️#KlaraAndTheSun #LFF2026

a good litmus test to see if someone knows ball is the iphone rig in 28 years later. if you don't think it's very fucking cool you're WRONG
WHALEFALL is an intense rollercoaster of a survival thriller, with an incredible performance once again by Austin Abrams. The film is at its best when putting you in claustrophobic, bone crunching scenarios that will have you wincing at the screen. However at times takes itself a little too seriously for a film about a man being eaten by a whale. Throw in some really beautiful cinematography and great use of production design and you’ve got what I’m confident will be a big hit amongst audiences 🐋
THE SOCIAL RECKONING is a film that should never have been marketed in connection with THE SOCIAL NETWORK. It not only sets too high an expectation but also misrepresents this film. This is a political film that feels more in line with ‘The Newsroom’ than anything else. While Jeremy Allen White puts in a career best performance and Sorkin’s writing is on top form. Jeremy Strong’s Zuck feels like a caricature and weirdly one that I feel the film would greatly benefit from removing. This is by no means a bad movie but one heavily let down by the expectations that come from making a spiritual successor to one of the best biopics of all time.

I wonder if Cregger was heavily inspired by the creature in ‘Inside’ when designing the new ‘RESIDENT EVIL’ movie monster. It feels like it draws a lot of inspiration from that rather than the games 👀

Mike Flanagan’s CARRIE proves that even a story told so many times can feel revolutionary in the right hands
Flanagan is the gold standard on Stephen King adaptations and this is once again no different. This is a fully modern interpretation with a powerhouse lead by Summer H. Howl. Its soundtrack is electric, its writing is sharp but it’s the little intimate moments here that really ‘shine’. I can’t believe yet another Carrie adaption can earn this level of praise, but it earns every moment it offers you. Carrie is a masterpiece 🩸

Hello Zack Snyder here is my formal response...
ZACK SNYDER'S "THE LAST PHOTOGRAPH" is grotesque, shameless and an utter disgrace from start to finish. It is Snyder at his most unfiltered, with no studio intervention and is the films largest problem. It's desperate to be Snyder's 'Civil War', but feels like Daily Wire slop filled to the brim with shock value. This is a passion project I'm glad he got to make for his own catharsis but this should have stayed on the ideas board. It brings me no pleasure to say it's not only the worst of Snyders career but quite frankly one of the worst films I have ever seen
