I think if the Mets go out and sign Skubal, Morejon, BLowe, and some other top pitcher before Dec 1 we can assume that they really expect the owners to hold out for a cap.
"I wonder how maniners prospects are doing in the AFL?"
Eike .293/.383/.439 😍
Ellis .156/.357/.375 🤔
B. Smith .132/.306/.132 🤮
Meanwhile Tai Peete on the same team
.365/.459/.731 😭😭😭
The only explanation for Jason Kanzler to be a finalist for mariners manager is he must be a very impressive individual. He's 36 and didn't play above high A. He was a high school manager then a MiLB hitting coordinator. Then in 2024 the cubs hired him as director of player dev.
Wow so those ARE the finalists and there's apparently not a secret candidate. I would prefer Kanzler as manager and Espada as bench coach but not sure he'd accept that
Mariners are down to two finalists in their manager search — and Joe Espada and Jason Kanzler are scheduled for in-person interviews today and tomorrow.
Decision expected by the end of the week.

I have zero insider info here but it just feels like Rocco Baldelli will be the next Mariners manager. That being said I was pretty sure it would be Tim Bogar when they picked Scott so it's almost certainly not Baldelli.
New hazing material for Yandy. "I bet you like your steak medium-well you weirdo!"
Yandy Díaz is on the hunt for a bigger cut of steak in the World Series!
He defends his love for medium-well temperature and breaks down some diet and workout tips for Greg 😅
