Call it controversial, but I don't believe Artistic Directors should be using their position to further their own artistic careers... They shouldn't be casting themselves or producing their own plays... They should be looking at ways to increase accessibility and inclusion!
A year ago I posted this monologue, it must have been good because I had people reach out to me and offer words of support, despite it being a performance... But that in itself said everything... Social media can completely consume your life, in the same way the industry can...
WET CEMENT reached the final round of the Papatango Playwriting Award, made it to the top 39 out of over 1900 entries, pretty mad!
Can't wait to finally see it fully staged next year at the The Keller Theatre!
First day of my new job... Very excited! Most excited I've been about a job in a long while! Here's to a future career working with animals and animal conservation!

Actors are tired, they're fatigued... They want more, they deserve more... We spend years and thousands of pounds on training to be actors, only to enter a profession where we still need to spend hundreds on a yearly basis to even be taken seriously as actors...
Yet actors are told on a daily basis how they can make casting directors jobs easier.. When it should be the other way around.. Since CDs are being compensated for their time, and in fact, actors are already paying for their time and right to audition through our Spotlight fees!
