"What is engagement?"
You might as well ask me to explain the meaning of life. (JK. Please don't ask me this!)
There are 2 ways to define engagement in your library promotional efforts. And one is arguably more important: bit.ly/3zTrAVY #LibraryMarketing

It seems so deeply unfair that people in Essex, Tower Hamlets, Croydon, Barnet, Lewisham, Windsor, Kent, Hampshire and all the rest, are having to campaign to save their libraries
And they get no help or support from @libsconnected @CILIPinfo @ace_national @DCMSArts etc
Shame

Sales pitches from vendors can feel intimidating, especially when budgets are tight. So rather than 1:1, come and hear about products in a group setting with no pressure and real life experience from librarians who use them.

So true @KrystalVittles we have a way to go yet. I think a lot of libraries are held back by the red tape of the local councils they are funded by who are in turn not the best at shouting out about the fantastic things that go on in libraries.
Definitely a lot of truth in this. It was amazing to see how far libraries came on the self promotion front.
We think there is still a long way to go for #libraries to fully realise the merits of a strong (dare we say integrated?!) marketing strategy, but a very good start!
