One more bizarre story this week for the Covid Twilight Zone. I have a longtime friend who I always thought of as my most grounded, logical and insightful one out of everyone. She lives 400+ miles away. So I’m always so excited to hear from her. She called this week and I was thrilled! Whenever I need to have an objective opinion about a decision, I have always reached out to her. We would share Covid information, me from a professional lens…and her from a community view. She was a teacher who had to retire after being hospitalized for Covid and developing Ocular Paralysis in 2021. Ocular Paralysis makes her unable to move her right eye. She has endured several surgeries over the past few years to regain movement. None of which have been successful. This week when I asked my friend if there were any changes in her condition, she stated that “If I had unmasked sooner my eye would have improved.” I asked “How can that be?” She stated that “EVERYONE has an eyeball stuck because they had problems seeing over their masks.” I said, “I still Mask and both of my eyeballs are still moving.” She said, “Well you don’t live in Michigan.” I asked her very slowly “Are you saying that Ocular Paralysis, a condition that originates from an INFECTION or disease state is somehow coming from Masks?” She said, “Yes, and being in lockdown where your eyes are inside the house all day.” The only thing that I could think was “Damn! YOU TOO!” The only thing I could do was sit down in the “off limits” living room, poured a glass of wine, lit a candle, and played some Camden Stewart. I’m beginning to think that No Interaction is the Best Interaction.

COVID is vascular. Breaks through the blood-brain-barrier. 🦠🧠Neurotropic, neuroinvasive, neurovirulent. Damages the prefrontal cortex /frontal lobes. Causes loss of white & grey brain matter & fuses neurons The masses keep getting reinfected over & over. 13th wave! This is why

My three takeaways: shut the fuck up
Met Scott Wiener at an event hosted by @BayAreaNewLibs. My three takeaways were: * Scott is insanely smart * Scott is super progressive * Scott is very tall Anyone in SF calling Scott a "moderate" has either never experienced politics outside SF or their brain is melted.

I wear a mask (yes, in 2026) because I decided to opt out of being a lab rat for repeated SARS infections. I expect people to respect my choice, just as I respect their (lol) "choice".

The Landlord Lobby is spending big against Prop I because they oppose absolutely anything that could bring rents down. Duh.
Proposition I would lock in San Francisco’s high transfer tax rate and the real estate lobby is worried. San Francisco real-estate interests have raised over $2.7 million to defeat Prop. I, an affordable housing measure. The outlay is the largest source of spending opposing any measure on the November ballot. missionlocal.org/2026/10/san…

I looked into this and apparently the judge who let him go free has a history of giving sex offenders lenient sentences. There was even a 2025 petition made to have him removed from his position after he allowed a man who admitted to sexually abusing a 6 year old to not have to register as a sex offender and suspended his sentence to just probation. Prior to that he allowed another man who plead guilty to raping a teen to also not have to register as a sex offender AND suspended his sentence to just probation as well. There are apparently SIX different cases where he has done this not including this case. His name is Judge Michael Whyte and these are the case numbers where he has allowed men who have raped and abused children to go free. CR10-23-03237 CR10-21-09722 CR10-21-06045 CR10-23-03237 CR10-23-03819 CR10-24-08091 And here is the phone number to the courthouse where he works so you can leave a nice message letting them know how you feel about them employing this man :) 208-742-1673 citizens in Idaho need to be made aware of this! Here’s a link to their website and his photo! Posted by Idaho Business Review. lemhicountyidaho.org/228/Cou…
Sobbing missionary admits he raped girl, 15, in Tesla because he was going through a breakup... as judge who let him get married while on bail allows him to walk free trib.al/5ZaL0d8
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
Krew Zaugg was not allowed to walk free. The judge sentenced him to Idaho’s retained jurisdiction ("rider") program, requiring up to one year of treatment in custody. Afterward, the judge will decide whether to send him to prison for 4 to 14 years. eastidahonews.com/2026/10/idaho-…

Had the worst sleep of my life last night. But I was sleeping less than 300 yds from where Donald Trump sleeps. Could there be a connection? – at Washington, DC

Served 3 months for raping an unconscious woman. We have to start killing them.
🇺🇸 In 2015, an unconscious woman was sexually assaulted by a Stanford University student behind a dumpster. Chanel Miller (22) had been drinking heavily at a frat party and collapsed to the ground unconscious outside the venue. While she lay unresponsive, Brock Turner (19) carried her over to a secluded spot, stripped off her clothes and sexually assaulted her while she was entirely motionless. The assault was interrupted when two passing graduate students spotted Turner thrusting over her unresponsive body. Realizing she was unconscious, they confronted him, chased him down, and held him until police arrived. Turner was convicted of three felony sexual assault charges, but despite facing up to 14 years, he received just six months and served only three. The light sentence sparked national outrage. The victim, later identified as Chanel Miller, read a powerful impact statement in court that went viral. In 2019, she revealed her name and published best-selling memoir “Know My Name”

Replying to @KTVU
You should absolutely not vote for Scott Wiener unless you work for an AI company or a real estate developer. From the right, left, or center, you have a real choice - Vote for Connie Chan for San Franciscans.

Did people think they could sacrifice their grandparents and children to a SARS virus to get indoor dining back and still have nice things like empathy and compassion?

yes. Thats why failing to wear a mask in an ongoing pandemic is social murder for example. Youre creating conditions in which ppl get sick and die
Social murder is Fredrick Engels' term for when society places workers in a position where they cannot maintain health or live long, when it deprives them of the means of life, and when it knows this & does nothing. There’s no individual killer bc it’s the arrangement that kills.
