Always a big day for @ACS_LocalShops as we launch our new Local Shop Report. I think 2023 is our best ever, thanks to the partners we work with for their support, and the retailers and colleagues who provide responses to our phone and online surveys

Dear @Jeremy_Hunt, essential community retailers will be put out of business if targeted support is not provided in the Budget on energy costs.
Almost 7,000 stores are at risk.

❓ How much does it cost to support a #Redhill business?
Spread a little digital love to our local business community.
From our well-loved chains run by local people to our fabulous independent shops & organisations - they all need our support.

To be clear, we DON’T usually forecast store closures. Local shops are resilient, we adapt … but for the businesses facing x5 increase to energy bills there just isn’t a way to navigate 2023-4 financial year. Targeted short-term help for these businesses needed in budget
