We’re working together to design and create topographic maps made of colored foam for this hands-on lesson. 🗺️
It is such an honor to represent my friends as CCS Elementary Teacher of the year. I am very blessed to call @BOECullmanCity my home. 🖤💛
Congratulations to the elementary and secondary Teachers of the Year for @BOECullmanCity Two of the best in a system full of amazing educators. @EastElemCCS @CullmanCats @SSA_Supers @AlabamaAchieves @ALlovesPS
It’s such an honor to receive a Learning for Life Award from Samford’s Orlean Beeson School of Education. Thank you @SamfordEd for such a wonderful and inspiring evening. Go Bulldogs!
These 4th graders can even make ugly Christmas sweaters look cute! 🎄@EastElemCCS
My 4th graders turned me into a turkey this morning after purchasing 186 feathers in our Thanksgiving fundraiser. 🪶🦃 @EastElemCCS
Did you know that sounds are really just vibrations? Today we made these “telephones” and experimented with sound waves in science class. 📞👂🏼
We’re making waves today to demonstrate high pitch and low pitch. @EastElemCCS @MysterySci
We’re learning about information transfer and how devices communicate with patterns of 1s and 0s. These 4th graders are using this idea to create pixilated works of art.
@EastElemCCS
Thank you, Cullman City Schools Foundation, for funding our grant! We’re purchasing @MysterySci Mystery Packs, materials for hands-on science experiments for our 4th graders. @BOECullmanCity
We spent the week building spooky houses and wiring them with Halloween lights as part of our science unit on energy and electricity. Today our hard work paid off as EES students took the 4th Grade Spooky House Tour. @EastElemCCS
Today in science class, these 4th graders are using visual and sound codes to transmit information as an introduction to our study of waves. @MysterySci
4th grade science is 🔥! Students are collaborating to build series and parallel circuits in class today. @AMSTI4all @EastElemCCS
Look at these BRIGHT students building electrical circuits with paperclip switches. This just might be our favorite @AMSTI4all unit. 💡🔋🔌@Stovall2Carolyn @EastElemCCS
We made solar-powered ovens today, but due to cloud coverage, we had to get a little help from electrical energy to heat these s’mores. No complaints though. 😋 @EastElemCCS
These 4th graders devised clean energy plans today. We combined information about wind energy, solar energy, and water energy to determine the best alternative energy sources for a town called Boulderville. @MysterySci @EastElemCCS
What if there were no electricity? 💡Today we learned all about electrical energy and made these amazing LED flashlights from index cards, LEDs, batteries, and aluminum foil. 🔦 @MysterySci @EastElemCCS
We spent a beautiful morning at the outdoor classroom watering our crops and learning all about bee bodies. @NAAgriplex @EastElemCCS
How can marbles save the world? Scientists and engineers use basic principles to make cars safe for us. We investigated what happens to energy during collisions today as we crafted these marble bumper jumper games. @MysterySci @EastElemCCS
