Daddy Rich, played by the great Richard Pryor,  is a flamboyant, money-preaching televangelist, in the 1976 classic comedy Car Wash. Even though Pryor's appearance is a brief, high-energy cameo rather than a lead role, it became one of the most memorable parts of the film.

When it's the white princess - they swap her out for the black one in official documentation and move the time so the PR stunt doesn't overlap with protests. When it's the black princess - they knee jerk lie about not having a letter to give the press something nasty to talk about. See how this works?
There are going to be some shrill royalists in my comment sections for the next few days - but we talk a lot about how the entire government moves to protect the royals. Are we really going to pretend that the Met Police don't have an agenda?

For weeks, some racist Western media outlets published story after story against Professor Jason Arday, at times every few hours, branding him a plagiarist. They hounded him relentlessly, and the pressure became too much for him. He committed suicide in August, aged just 41. This week, he was cleared of plagiarism yet again. A fresh investigation by the academic publisher Taylor & Francis found nothing to support the allegations. Of the four formal investigations into his work, not one substantiated the charge. The same publications that hunted him are now silent. They have not corrected their reporting, and they have not had the decency to admit they were wrong. This is how hard it is to be Black in a deeply racist world, and to succeed where they expect you to fail. Even those who present themselves as the moral conscience of the Western world have nothing to say. In a shameful act, the Oxford Reform Society has invited Nathan Cofnas, the self-described "race realist" who first raised the plagiarism allegations against Professor Arday, to speak at Oriel College next month. Oriel College, the home of Cecil John Rhodes’ statue. These institutions are racist. Sadly, Black leaders have failed to build rival institutions that give Black people respect and intellectual dignity. We are forced to endure disrespect because our leadership has failed us completely. Black billionaires line up to hand money to these institutions in exchange for meaningless honorary titles, instead of building our own. May Professor Arday's soul rest in peace. You were hounded to your death by publications that today do not even have the shame to admit they were wrong.

Clearing his name after he’s no longer here to see it. Rest in peace, Professor Jason Arday. You deserved your flowers while you were still, here. #writing #WritingCommmunity

I don't think people realize how young Medgar, Malcolm, and Martin were. Not one of them saw 40.

Over 14 million people across the world are estimated to die because USAID was ended, including 4 million children—a direct result of *not* electing a Democrat in 2024. Voting Blue saves tens of millions of lives across the world.
Voting Blue isn’t harm reduction for the people around the world who are on the receiving end of US imperialism

DON'T BOTHER! Manhattan Borough President Brad Hoylman-Sigal says Winnie-the-Pooh belongs to New Yorkers and won't be leaving anytime soon after the Queen requested the return of the original bear toy and his friends to Great Britain. The NYPL was gifted the original dolls in 1987 for permanent exhibition.

19 year old Serena Williams played through an entire stadium aggressively booing her and her family every single point, and she STILL won the 2001 Indian Wells title. Mental toughness unmatched. 👑🐐
