Thank you @taxgirl for including me in your 1st @tax must-follow list. It is an appreciated honor to be included with so many respected #taxpros. I see some new names and look forward to getting to know them on LI and here on twitter. #Gratitude and Congratulations to all.
When I joined @tax one of the first things I was asked was if I would keep my must-follow #Twitter list. I wanted to keep it going, but make it different.
So, it's shorter, and I’ve added #LinkedIn. No one appears on both lists.

"One lingering issue? The car. The vehicle was jointly titled with the decedent's wife, who is currently in a nursing home and is in no position to be driving. To my knowledge, no guardian has been appointed for her yet.
So, what exactly am I going to do with this car? Great question. I'm still working through that one, and it's weighing on my mind a bit. It's one of those loose ends that sounds relatively simple until you start considering the legal and practical complications." @jennyrozelle
October 25, 2026 / Diary of an Executor
Well, I'm back! After being gone for nearly three weeks, it's time to get back to business.
Before leaving, I worked pretty hard to get things in a position where I could comfortably step away for an extended period of time. Of course, things don't just stop because the Executor is halfway across the world, but I did my best to get everything lined up before leaving.
And somehow, my timing was pretty darn good. In fact, I received the "clear to close" email on the house quite literally while I was in the air flying home.
Timing, I tell you!
So, we're getting close to wrapping up the house situation. Before closing, I need to confirm that the mail forwarding is working properly (I believe it is!) and start getting everything in order so I can finally wipe my hands clean of the property.
One lingering issue? The car.

Also while I was away, we reached the point where the bank accounts can finally be unfrozen. That's on my to-do list for this week. Having access to funds is going to be a welcome development, to say the least.
All things considered, I'm pretty pleased with where things stand after being away for nearly three weeks. There's still plenty to do, but some of the bigger pieces are finally coming together.
Until next time,
Jenny / Executor
Jenny @jennyrozelle do you know @ETXFarmLife?
Two of his heifers had calves yesterday.
Daniel, do you know Jenny? Congratulations on your two new baby calves. Love seeing this side of you. ♥️
Are they assets on your balance sheet or family pets?

"Find the smallest yes
Here’s the shift that changes things for a lot of families.
Instead of asking, “Will you move into Assisted Living?” the more useful question may be: “What’s the smallest amount of help that would make life safer or easier, without taking away what matters most to you?”
That starts from your parent’s priorities, not yours."
