What I have been doing since returning from teaching. Making my own work! At last, time to do what I do! Hope you like them! Please share if you do.
I've been busy creating new drawings recently. I'm really enjoying the challenge of trying to capture the atmosphere of each space. Hope you like them!
Watching the sun setting over the water towards Skye this evening. Stunning. Love this place #Scotland
Rainy murky day in NW Scotland today, so done some beach combing. Lots of great colours/textures! Traig.
Today was my last day of my teaching career. My 34th year in education. Taking early retirement as it is time for me to find out who I am beyond the classroom. It's been an emotional day. I am fortunate to have wonderful colleagues and students so excitement and sadness combined.
This is a current PopArt portrait by one of our Y9 boys. He chose the subject. He is so proud of it as he believes he is no good at anything in school. A real turning point for him and his confidence . He worked so hard on it.

Some fabulous leaf drawings from our Y10 students. Sometimes simple is best. Pencil, paper, subject.

Very proud of our Y11 artists who have worked so hard on their 10 hour controlled pieces this week. Some great outcomes. Can't publish them unfortunately due to JCQ regs.
Did my first rug tufting workshop today. Great fun. Loved using the tufting gun. Tricky on a small scale though as only 20 x 20cm.
Such a hard watch. What vile bullying . The bigger boys with the shiny toys in the playground gang up on the underdog. Do as I say or we will make it very difficult for you. (and say 'thank you sir'). Vile.
