Most Ethereum developers do not know this about the architecture their contracts run on.
One inherited vulnerability can change everything. SagaEVM learned that in January 2026. And $120 billion in TVL is sitting on the same type of architecture right now.

The vulnerability that drained SagaEVM was not in their contract code. Standard auditing alone would not have caught it. It was inherited directly from the underlying EVM codebase itself.
