The moment you begin to treat your own interpretation as the only intellectually defensible one, you stop learning. Intelligence without intellectual humility easily becomes arrogance and being able to articulate why you think you’re right doesn’t automatically mean you’ve understood everything there is to understand.

One thing I noticed these days is how Yoruba brides these days are gradually abandoning the ipele? 😭😂
I love that bridal fashion is evolving, but the ipele adds so much elegance, tradition and richness to our bridal attire. 😍 Not every traditional detail needs to be sacrificed for a modern look.
Modernise the style, but let’s not modernise our traditions out of existence. ❤️
