For me this is the single dumbest post I’ve read since the midterms.
The Iran war wasn’t a blunder. It was the necessary move. The blunder was stopping short and not finishing it. The blunder was the pointless negotiations with a regime of annihilationists who only wanted the process so they could manipulate and humiliate the United States. The blunder was listening to Qatar and Pakistan and Turkey and Saudi Arabia who have collectively worked to manipulate and destroy America from the inside.
The real failure sits with Matt and the isolationists who keep pretending they understand how these Islamists operate. They don’t. For them it’s always someone else’s fault when the consequences of half-measures show up.
