Have you seen the Board of Selectmen’s new goals?
Town of Dedham (@DedhamThrives) profile pictureTown of Dedham@DedhamThrives10 Jul 2020
The Dedham Select Board voted 5-0 to approve annual goals that its members had created in collaboration with Town Manager Leon Goodwin earlier this year. uqfh5.app.goo.gl/GVUj
Do you know why its important to pick up dog waste? Dog waste carries high levels of harmful E. coli bacteria and other pathogens that can wash into storm drains and waterways when left on streets or in parks, increasing public health risks and causing infections.

Dog owners - it's time for you to be awesome. (No trash can? No problem. Take it home with you for disposal.)

Hey all - be on the lookout for POISON IVY around yards, trails & waterways. Don't touch leaves OR vines. If you come in contact with ANY part of the plant, wash w soap & lukewarm water asap to remove the urushiol & avoid a rash. @NepGreenway @GreaterBostonTU @MassDFG @MassDCR

At the Blue Hills too!
Don’t ‘P’ on your lawn. This is a new campaign the Neponset River Watershed Partnership (which Dedham is a part of) go educate residents about phosphorus and how it is harmful to our waterways. Let’s protect the Charles River by avoiding harmful fertilizers.
Neponset River (@NepRWA) profile pictureNeponset River@NepRWA23 Apr 2020
'P' or Phosphorus (on the Periodic Table of Elements) is very harmful to our waterways! In MA it's such a big problem that it's illegal to add any phosphorus fertilizer to your lawn without a soil test that says it's needed. For more lawn care tips visit yourcleanwater.org/lawn

The same goes for Boston. Please use trash cans! (We love you too, Philly!)

If you love Philly, do the right thing: put used gloves and masks in the trash when you are done using them, not on our sidewalks and streets. Thank you!

Today is Arbor Day and we are so thankful for the trees in Dedham that provide us shade, oxygen, life for Mother Nature and beauty for our eyes and souls. This quarantine make planting a tree a goal! @DedhamTrails @DedhamThrives @arborday

Tomorrow, April 22nd is the 50th anniversary of Earth Day!! How will you celebrate? Will you participate in the #just1bag2020 initiative and pick up trash on your run or walk? Plant a tree or start seedlings for your garden? Let us know and tag #dedhamtrails

Thinking about visiting a @MassDCR state park for some fresh air? To help limit crowding, consider visiting at less busy times - early mornings and weekdays tend to be less crowded, which will help to #stopthespread. 🔗 @MassDCR #COVID19 Updates: mass.gov/info-details/massac…

Remember to do your part and stay 6 feet apart when on Dedham Trails. Fun fact: 6 feet apart is the wingspan of a Turkey Vulture. youtu.be/NrooGgjr5CA

No #wipes in the pipes! Dense masses of moist wipes clog pumping stations & cause a mess. Don't flush any wipes, throw them away instead!
