A good day at New Brighton. We worked with @DPInfinity and had a thoroughly enjoyable time. @DeePointPrimary
A fantastic day out at Colwyn Bay. Some people took their shoes off for the first time ever on a beach, we paddled, played boules, played cricket and used buckets and spades like experts. @DeePointPrimary
We had a great time at Delamere Forest. It rained heavily, but we didn't feel a thing ... the beauty of the canopy. Some excellent den building, imaginative play and super hiding. Highlight of the day ... finding a perfectly camouflaged frog in our den! @DeePointPrimary
A trip around Saughall exploring local history. We found different habitats and animals (frogs, dragonflies, badger setts), the site of an old castle, and where soldiers were nursed during WW1. @DeePointPrimary
We are absolutely loving our writing topic. We are creating our own stories. We have developed our own settings and characters. After some fantastic writing we used AI to generate pictures. Can you guess which characters are heroes and which are villains?@DeePointPrimary
Our trip on Monday to Alyn Waters was fantastic. We explored, investigated and generally had fun. We noticed that the deeper the water, the faster the current. @DeePointPrimary
There are some really good percentages games on Apollo's website in preparation for SATS ... could be a bit of light hearted practice @DeePointTriton @DPHyperion
We have spent an hour trying to recreate L.S. Lowry's Britain at Play. We've started in the foreground with the aim to draw your attention through the gates ... how did we get on? Next week, we are going to focus on the characters. @DeePointPrimary
We made our own investigation question, decided on the criteria, setup a tally chart, interviewed other classes and then made our own graph using Excel. Thank you @DPInfinity for answering our queries. @DeePointPrimary
An amazing trip to Blists Hall - Victorian Village. It was a long journey, but well worth it. We made bricks (not the 1000 a day that would have been made), visited loads of shops and houses, saw a shire horse and the playground was outstanding @DeePointPrimary
Apollo started their work on statistics. We started on pictograms using skittles. Luckily, if we worked out 6 facts, we got to eat 6 skittles. I wonder what will happen when we look at Pie Charts? @DeePointPrimary
Apollo were incredibly impressive when revisiting fractions. Remember that the games are on the class website. These could be useful for @DeePointTriton @DPHyperion @DeePointPrimary
An excellent start to the term with a trip to The British Ironworks Centre. Massive thank you to Highfield Primary for lending us their bus so we could go. When I asked one pupil, "What was the best sculpture?" "You can't choose: they are all so detailed!" @DeePointPrimary
Apollo had a great day at Walton Hall. The playground and the zoo were fantastic, but the Bike Museum and the Greenhouses were utterly unique. It is definitely worth a visit. @DeePointPrimary
Our trip to RHS Bridgewater showed us what massive gardening projects look like! We spotted different spring plants, explored the site and played on an excellent playground. @DeePointPrimary
Some of our fine footballers played in their first tournament today - they were fabulous. Thank you as well to the 2 who stayed in school organising our art and making propagators for tomorrow. A real team effort. @DeePointPrimary @DeePointPE
Apollo went around different parks to evaluate them in relation to Scope's Disability campaign scope.org.uk/campaigns/lets-… It was a brilliant day full of imaginative play. We will be writing to Scope as a class with our thoughts, graphs and recommendations. @DeePointPrimary
Morning Parents,
Dorin Park School are holding an information morning about the different social activities available for children with Special Educational Needs. We hope it is useful @DeePointPandora @DPInfinity @DeePointAtlas @DeePointPrimary
Apollo had a great time last Friday starting their work on gymnastics. We will be exploring travelling and jumping in different ways. @DeePointPrimary
A great start to the week at Quarry Bank Mill. We did map reading, using co-ordinates, looked at the mill and heard how loud some of the machines were. Hands on history at its best. The staff there were fabulous. @DeePointPrimary
