The prophet is not one who seeks the office but one who is seized by divine pathos. The prophet does not volunteer; the prophet is conscripted. The prophet does not build a platform; the prophet is burdened by a word that must be spoken regardless of consequences. The contemporary phenomenon of claiming the title "prophet to the nations," complete with branding, promotional materials, international platforms, and apostolic endorsements, inverts this pattern entirely.
When the title becomes a brand rather than a burden, when it is adopted rather than reluctantly received, when it is promoted rather than borne with anguish, something has gone deeply wrong. The marketing of prophetic identity is a contradiction in terms. One does not market a burden; one carries it. But there is an even more fundamental problem that renders the category "prophet to the nations" obsolete in the New Covenant. In Christ, the prophetic office has reached its fulfillment. Christ is THE Prophet, the one to whom all the prophets pointed, and whatever prophetic function continues in the Church is derivative of and subordinate to his completed prophetic work.

Elijah ran from Jezebel into the wilderness and collapsed under a juniper tree. God did not rebuke his exhaustion. He fed him. He let him sleep. Then Elijah fled to the cave at Horeb and was asked the question that addresses every restless spirit. What are you doing here? Sometimes God appoints the restlessness to ask you that same question. Listen for it.

On Sunday we had our annual Christmas party for local families. These players know how fortunate they are to be in the position that they are in, and seeing these guys give each of the families something out of their own pocket made me feel good about what we are doing and what we teach. Hope we can all find a way to bring JOY to others this holiday season.

When faith becomes tribal, it loses its witness. The kingdom does not compete with nations, parties, or personalities, it transcends them.

There is a kind of peace that comes only after we yield. It is the peace on the other side of wrestling—when we stop insisting that life comply with our demands and start cooperating with what God is shaping in us. In that peace, we begin to see that the grace to adjust was never a compromise of our strength, but a rediscovery of it.

We are living in a time where anger is no longer the exception, it’s the atmosphere. We breathe it in daily: on our screens, in our conversations, in the headlines, and in our homes. And it’s not just private frustration, it’s performative rage, rewarded by algorithms and amplified by echo chambers.
Ours is an angry culture, but beneath the anger is something deeper: unresolved grief, unacknowledged fear, unmet longing, and a loss of trust in anything or anyone that can hold us together. We are angry because we feel powerless. Angry because we feel unheard. Angry because we are exhausted.
Anger, in itself, is not evil. Biblically, it is often the beginning of justice. But when untethered from humility, mercy, and truth, anger becomes a wildfire, consuming rather than correcting.
The real question is: What will we do with our anger?
Will we turn it into blame and scapegoating?
Or will we let it become lament, intercession, courage, and healing?
