Poncho Espino of the Party for Socialism & Liberation (PSL), a different socialist party than DSA, is running for Denver City Council District 9!
PSL is MUCH smaller than DSA, but they collaborate sometimes. Will be a fascinating race for the future of the Denver Left.
Poncho is a long time organizer and well respected. With him jumping in the race, the likely DSA recruits for D9 will likely not run.
I know PSL and DSA have beef in other cities, but in Denver I hope we can a model for cross party solidarity and collaboration.
