Before LLM, you'd need months to build an impressive product that's worth people's attention. Now you'd build that same product in days, but so does everyone else!
You still need to build for months to impress people, and it has to be significantly more complex and polished.

What I use my station for:
- run Claude and Codex 24/7 from their native apps
- create agent profiles with specific API keys in their env, eg. “awsdeployer”
- use station public url for Github webhooks
- ask Claude to delegate to Codex and v.v.
- host sites on the station itself

I think there's a near future where we build agents for specific domains and ship them with our software, so everyone gets personalized deployments.
That's what we're exploring in this video, and I think it's really neat.
User feedback → coding agent → code changes → preview → production.
We built a self-improving software demo with @mastra to explore what happens when an AI agent ships alongside your app.

Claude knows Defang!🤯
"The redis service in compose.production.yaml inherits the command and volume. That’s harmless because Defang’s x-defang-redis annotation tells Defang to provision a managed ElastiCache cluster instead of running the container." 🚀🌤️

I'm a big fan of #kubernetes in many ways. I started using it in 2019 and quickly became a fan (kinda): I was able to run my containers across multiple nodes and scale out. But it was overkill for what I was doing, and always required building a bunch of extra tooling.
Some people see #Kubernetes as *the* way to deploy #containers to the cloud. But it's big, complex, and not as portable as it seems.
Kubernetes has it's place, but at #Defang we're building something for the rest of us. For #devs who want simplicity, portability, and a whole lot more.

I started building @DefangLabs after dealing with K8s on a previous project. With Defang you deploy to any* hyperscaler without being forced to deal with the underlying complexity.

One of the reasons I joined the @DefangLabs team is because spent many years thinking "there's gotta be a better way to deploy my containers."

The low-level services from the hyper scalers are the best value for money. @DefangLabs uses those exclusively to give you Heroku-like DevEx on any cloud.

introducing defang v2
cursor for devops
building apps has never been easier with ai tools like cursor, windsurf, lovable, v0, and bolt. you can go from idea to prototype in hours.
the hard part isn’t building. it’s shipping.
as @karpathy said:
“i vibe coded the app in four hours… and spent the rest of the week deploying it.”
defang takes your app code and deploys it to the cloud in one step:
- defang compose up → live in minutes
- secure and scalable infra
- aws, gcp, digitalocean ready
- built-in ai debugging
- works with managed dbs, llms, and your favorite ai coding tools

met a lot of folks at web summit vancouver who hadn’t heard of mcp. totally fair since it’s still early. i wrote a quick general piece to help you understand what it is, why it matters, and how it fits into the future of ai.

Might get cancelled for this 💀
But Defang > AWS + Azure + GCP for solo devs.
Built SlideIt (AI PowerPoint builder)
→ LLaMA-3 via Azure
→ Deployed on Defang in mins
→ Didn’t even write the compose.yaml — it was ready-made.
Cloud? Simplified.
