The reality is that basketball discourse on this app is not what’s true and objective It’s what people WANT to be true Win, and gloat that you’re better in every way. Lose, and complain about how the other team plays unfair.

Coming into tonight, the Dream were +51 in FTA and have had more FT every game including this one If the league really wanted to rig it for the Valkyries, refs wouldn’t be blowing the whistle a ton more AGAINST them. A house divided against itself cannot stand.

It’s obvious but has to be said Yaxel is who they wanted Kuminga to be Aggressive. Versatile. Unselfish. And most importantly, he doesn’t see himself as the guy to bulls around. He’s willing to do the little things to get better. Not many have that mindset.
Steve Kerr on Yaxel Lendeborg’s 31-12-6 in Denver “In all the critical spots, we put the ball In his hands. For a rookie to be that advanced already is extremely rare.” “He’s going to be a guy who closes games.”

WNBA records for total attendance, highest average attendance, consecutive sellouts (every game in team history) Criticism is fine, you have your own views But base criticism off of something real, not something easily refuted by stats. Then it’s lying for the sake of lying

Pretty simple I think If Valkyries win Game 5, we coming into work at lunch on Thursday If Valkyries lose Game 5, I’m okay following on my phone at work Either way, pretty crazy to have Finals game at 9:30am.

Wow I don’t usually respond to every Kerr hate, but factually incorrect things are… wow Post split action, player movement off ball, triangle offense elements… Jackson had none of that If you said Kerr inherited Jackson’s DEFENSE, I’d allow it. But whole playbook whew

9:30am Finals game for Valkyries fans on the west coast? Uh… I have no words for this decision

We gotta talk about people just saying anything on this app For the record, Yaxel completely agreed with Kerr’s assessment that his defense has been awful. Kerr critiques publicly only when he knows it can push a player to be better (it’s not often) xitter.cf/curryforgame/status/21…
Yaxel grades his defense after his 1st NBA preseason: "Man, I would probably say like a C-, C range. I've been really slacking on the defensive end, just like not knowing where I am, just feeling confused. I feel like that's kind of been playing a big part into it and I've been playing a little timid on that side, so again, leads to a lot of mistakes."

Either you dish it AND you take it … Or you don’t dish it at all. There is no middle ground of getting angry when others do it, while doing it yourself.

Part of this may be built from the past A lot of Valks fans are also Warriors fans, and we’ve seen series comebacks before. We’ve seen titles and dynasties Atlanta fans haven’t had the best of luck. Those things contribute to how you WANT to view sports, and mentality as a fan

Steve Kerr did not put this roster together Graham Ike is the team’s starting center in a lineup that has no Steph or Dray This is not a Kerr issue, it’s a roster building issue. If you do want to talk Kerr, I can point to many series-winning game plans that won the ‘22 Finals

The analogy is fun but doesn’t really work Reality is both are the all-heart underdogs. GSV consist entirely of players off the scrap heap outside Gabby Both have everything to prove Dream may be the better team. But both are scrappy underprivileged schools duking it out

As a fan, absolutely love it But you know Raymond Ridder (Warriors’ award winning PR man) is sweating every time Yaxel goes to the podium

Same for SGA over in the NBA These are actually good players who have benefited from a very favorable whistle (no doubt discussed behind the scenes), and they take advantage of it Not hating on it, that’s just the way it is. SGA won a chip.

Welp… going into the 4th Q now, it was a 2-point game at one point Cavs may still win, but they blew the 27-point lead

99% of sports fans will never see their team win 4 championships in the midst of a dynasty. I’m one of the lucky ones. I’ll have to keep telling myself that after every game this Warriors season. May be a long season, sure, but see first sentence.

People said same about Steph in 2016 Finals Cavs coaches even admitted he was hurt Bottom line is that truth won’t get you far here. It’s about what ppl want to be true Dream won’t want to say they beat an injured opponent, so they’ll keep touting Gabby just crumbles

I think it just depends which name is more memorable Steph goes by both Steph and Curry. Have heard lots of both. Not a lot of Steph’s out there But Pat or Tom or Aaron or Joe isn’t memorable enough to just say that alone. Dak. Puka. Lamar. Gotta be memorable.

Talking trash is fine, it’s heated and it’s the Finals But the way techs have been called, this really absolutely is a tech for taunting

I mean, even Luka’s European coaches admitted Luka whines a lot all game and they didn’t like it It’s always been a part of his game. He’s extremely talented, but also… there’s the constant complaining
