Flipping the script: has any Chinese commercial satellite snapped on-orbit imagery of the US X-37B spaceplane? ChangGuang demonstrated their Non-Earth Imaging capability by releasing images of ISS and Maxar's Worldview Legion 2 last year.
That's call flying too close to the sun....
Jack Ma told 60 Minutes he never took a cent from Beijing. In 2020, one speech cost him a $34.5B IPO.
Fall 2014. Alibaba had just listed in New York at $231B.
His order for investors:
"Customer number one, employee number two, shareholder number three."
And the government?
"I never got one cent from government. I never got one cent from China banks."
His rule for the team:
"Never, ever do business with government. We love them. Don't marry them."
In October 2020, Ma criticized China's regulators on stage in Shanghai.
10 days later, the IPO was dead, 2 days before it was set to list.
It would have been the biggest ever.
Ma vanished from public view for almost 3 months.
In April 2021, Alibaba got a record $2.8B fine.
By 2023, shareholder number three had lost $620B from the 2020 peak.
Ma's fortune fell from $61B to $34B.
Back then, he had explained how he kept the state happy:
"We keep a very good love relationship with the government."
Exactly.
I don't know why Indonesians are so gullible to into believing those politicians that accuse Singapore of insulting Indonesia (to distract them from the massive fire and haze) - while honestly, there is literally no incident of ANY Singaporean politician / minister that insulted the country.
Singaporean Civilians? Plenty.
Because sometimes, Indonesia really deserve it.
But again, Indonesian foreign minister is not wrong: the first victims are Indonesians themselves.
Stop getting brainwashed and distracted by the corrupted people

JUST IN: The Pentagon has published a remarkable image of China's secretive Shenlong spaceplane in orbit, captured by a Maxar satellite and featured in its newly released 2026 space threat assessment.
The reusable, uncrewed spacecraft launches aboard a rocket and returns to Earth on a runway, similar to the U.S. military's X-37B.
China has conducted four orbital missions since 2020, demonstrating the ability to deploy and maneuver near other objects in space.
The DIA warns that technologies used for satellite inspection and proximity operations could also support anti-satellite capabilities.
China has disclosed few details about the spacecraft's missions or capabilities.

Indonesia is a good reminder that natural resources and a large population don't automatically make a country a great investment destination.
Look at what's happening there.
The MSCI Indonesia index has fallen roughly 50% in dollar terms in 2026, according to the chart.
Foreign direct investment inflows, which surged to $16 billion in Q4 2024, have since stagnated.
LG Energy Solution dropped plans for an $8 billion battery project. A $12 billion solar-panel-led industrial city backed by Xinyi has lost momentum.
And the problems go well beyond the stock market.
Under President Prabowo, Indonesia has tightened control over commodity exports, changed mining rules and increased state intervention. Businesses complain about regulatory uncertainty, while import restrictions have disrupted supply chains for companies such as Coca-Cola and PepsiCo.
The consumer story is weakening, too.
- Indonesia's middle-class share of workers fell from 16% a decade ago to 7% last year.
- Only 9% of consumers in a recent NielsenIQ survey felt financially better off than a year earlier, versus 54% in 2024.
- Unilever Indonesia's sales have fallen by a fifth since 2019, while operating profit has more than halved.
Here's the investing lesson.
A country can have nickel, coal, palm oil, a huge domestic market and headline GDP growth of around 5% yet still destroy shareholder value if policy uncertainty rises and consumers lose purchasing power.
For investors, there are three separate questions:
Is the economy growing?
Are businesses earning attractive returns on capital?
Can investors trust the rules governing those returns?
These are very different questions.
Indonesia's experience shows why country level growth forecasts alone are inadequate. Capital allocation, institutional quality, currency risk and the treatment of foreign investors matter just as much.
The second-order effect is when companies lose confidence in a market, they can delay capex, redirect investment elsewhere and reduce future job creation. That can weaken the very consumption growth the government wants to promote.
A resource rich country can attract capital once. Keeping that capital requires predictable rules.
Would you invest in a fast-growing economy if you couldn't confidently predict the rules under which your business would operate?

Israel is reportedly developing a multilayer protective screen designed to protect bridges, buildings and other critical infrastructure against missiles and munitions carrying warheads weighing between 300 kg (661 lb) and 1 metric ton (2,205 lb).
According to reports, the proposed design consists of three layers positioned in front of the structure. The first features a spiked grid said to be intended to trigger or disrupt an incoming warhead. The second uses angled slats reportedly designed to redirect blast gases and fragments sideways, while the third consists of composite ceramic armor plates said to absorb the remaining impact.
The system is described as requiring a gap of at least 1.5 m (4.9 ft) between the first and third layers. Its supporting frame is reportedly designed to stand independently, avoiding additional loads on the protected structure.
The system’s development status and performance under real-world conditions have not been independently verified.
