Today is Thank a Resident Day! We could not be more grateful to our #UVAPath trainees. The practice of medicine can be incredibly hard and heavy, but doing it alongside this fine group makes it fun, too. Grateful for each of them, every day.

Large discordances between eGFR on the basis of creatinine or cystatin C are common in clinical practice. This study found when eGFRcr and eGFRcys are highly discordant, eGFRcr-cys is more accurate than eGFRcr or eGFRcys bit.ly/JASN0128

A Bill has been introduced to increase Residency spots by a total of 14,000 in 7 years! Resident Physician Shortage Reduction Act of 2021 was introduced as part of Senate Bill SB834. It would be the largest increase in Residency positions in the last 25 years! #DoctorShortage
