Polymarket and Binance both getting hit on the same night is wild. About $2.77B left Binance wallets, and Tether froze over $1.5B USDT while Circle froze another $823M USDC.
They can freeze stablecoins but not ETH, so that's the part I'm watching. CZ says user funds are safe, so let's see.

One thing I’ve learned about VIP programs in crypto?

Last time, I explored @MEXC’s VVIP cashback benefits. This time, I checked my updated M-Score.
Currently sitting at 989 points in the Elite tier, with all five categories rated Good.
What caught my attention is how the new breakdown covers trading, assets, security, activity, and account tenure.
I like that it goes beyond showing a VIP badge and actually gives me a clearer picture of where I stand and what I can improve.
For me, that makes the whole system more useful.

I’ve always found the term “VIP” slightly weird in crypto.
On the vast majority of exchanges, $100K in assets or $1M+ in 30D volume is a pretty common starting point.
The new VVIP structure by @MEXC completely change this traditional paradigm.
Everyone starts with an initial 350 M-Score and Standard status, without a specified asset balance or trading-volume requirement.
And after that??
M-Score is tied to capital or volume, sure, but security setup and daily activity also contribute.
So instead of: trade a lot → become VIP
it’s closer to: enter first → build your score → unlock higher tiers depending on your platform usage.
Standard already includes things like member vouchers and, under the Global/APAC Card promo, 4% cashback capped at 100 USDT/month.
If you make it to Elite, you can get up to 10% cashback with your MEXC Card, capped at 800 USDT a month.

Crypto added $840B in market cap last quarter.
But the rally may have been running on leverage, not broad-based demand.
Q3 data shows a clear divergence:
• Total market cap: +39.6% to $2.96T
• $ETH: +71% vs. $BTC: +42.7%
• Average daily trading volume: -8.6%
• Top 10 CEX spot volume: -14.2%
• Perpetual futures open interest: +40.6%, above $100B
Prices rose as spot activity weakened and leverage expanded.
That doesn’t prove the rally was unsustainable, but it suggests positioning was growing faster than underlying demand.
October’s correction and nearly $1B in liquidations on October 15 make the imbalance worth watching.
Can crypto build another sustainable leg higher without spot demand catching up to leverage?

A while back I wrote about the escrow behind MovitOn. This time I walked the traveler side of the beta, and the idea is simpler than I expected: you already have a trip, so a package rides along.
Here is the flow, step by step.
→ Home has a Sender and Delivery Agent toggle. In agent mode it reads "Find your next delivery job", with hot destinations and a list of open shipments underneath.
→ Opening a request shows the full route, the drop-off method, the time left to deliver, the item with its size and weight, and a summary of the reward and total earnings.
↳ Valuable items carry a security deposit, and it is listed right there before I commit.
→ "Propose my route" checks my trips. None matched, so the app sent me to create one with departure and arrival dates.
My hypothetical trip: leave Ekpoma on Oct 16, land in Aarhus on Oct 29. The request I opened was already on that route, with delivery due Oct 29.
→ Next comes a pickup point on a map and a pickup date. I can offer up to 4 meeting windows and the sender confirms one.
→ After Send Proposal, the request shows "You've already proposed" and waits on the sender.
The sender side lives in the same app. There I look for a courier, open an agent's upcoming routes and tap Request Delivery.

A7 plans to introduce a service that will reinvent international payments.
On 13 October, Bank PSB’s Russian international settlement platform A7 will launch A7 International. The product lets users settle invoices from foreign counterparties in USDT, while the recipient obtains the funds through an ordinary SWIFT bank transfer in the desired currency.
Foreign-trade operators form the core audience; individuals may also take part. The fee is locked at 0.3 percent.
Petr Fradkov, Chairman of PJSC Bank PSB, and Ilan Shor, CEO of A7, will give an overview on 13 October at 10:13 UTC.

$BTC is down 4.7% this week, $ETH has lost 8.6%.
Yet US equities are still trading relatively close to their highs.
The divergence is worth paying attention to.
While Nasdaq futures dropped 1.38% in the latest session, they’re still up 1.38% in October. The S&P 500 is also positive for the month at +1.56%.
Crypto is telling a different story:
• $BTC: bounced from the $81.1K support area and its 50-day moving average, recovering toward $82.5K.
• $ETH: briefly touched $2,406 and is down nearly 17% YTD. Reclaiming $2,610 would be an important recovery signal.
I think crypto’s relative weakness is more interesting than the sell-off itself.
With Treasury yields, oil prices and broader uncertainty weighing on risk appetite, investors appear less willing to absorb volatility in crypto than in equities.
If Wall Street manages to stabilize, will BTC and ETH follow?

Brent is back above $100 and $BTC slipped under $84K.
Let’s analyze this combination rather than the red candle itself.
$BTC fell from ~$86.6K to as low as $83.84K while Brent climbed to ~$101.50 after the latest tanker attacks.
At the same time, the 10Y moved to 5.31% and the dollar strengthened across every G10 currency.
My read is that expensive oil can keep inflation concerns alive, yields make risk capital more expensive, and a stronger dollar adds another headwind.
All while BTC is already struggling around $84K.
$83K is now pretty close. below that, $80K comes into view quickly.

Having to pitch a memecoin to an AI and defend why it should exist is a funny product idea.
“Feed the black hole” behind @ton618_si revolve around this concept.
You submit a name, ticker, image and story, then get two messages to make your case.
The model questions the pitch and scores it on virality, timing and how well you explain it.
According to the team, one idea gets picked every two hours and launched on PumpFun.
Creator fees are forwarded in SOL to the wallet that submitted the winning idea.
Submitting an idea costs $5 worth of the token, which the project says is burned in full.
The main product by the way is an AI model you access through a Solana wallet, with $TON618 used for credits.
The team describes it as permissionless and unrestricted, running on its own model and infrastructure.
Early days, but the pitch mechanic gives this some personality.
