Such a timely article and so true that “the more we talk about all this the less embarrassing, disgusting and scary it will be.” Also the more we can remove stigma the more success advocates across 🇺🇸 will have getting the #RestroomAccessAct passed in their state.
As an IBD patient & resident of southern IL, I'm thankful #AllysLaw-The Restroom Access Act is the law. Now, I'm urging my home state of Missouri, right across the bridge to adopt the law. IBD patients cannot "just hold it". Emergency access is a must @CoriBush #RestroomAccessAct
Day 6 of Crohn’s & Colitis Awareness Week-The FOOD myth. I cannot CURE my UC by eating/trying (insert product, diet, super food here). Some foods are more tolerable w/in a flare but no food can CURE IBD💜

Emceeing via ZOOM! Another first in the age of COVID! I had a great time supporting my IBD community 💕
I received many compliments on my appearance (aka weight loss) after 1. Childhood trauma surfaced leading to PTSD diagnosis & I stopped eating. 2.Major UC flare that almost led to colon removal surgery 3. I had 5 blood clots in my lungs almost killed me. We have to do better.
