To celebrate the 10th anniversary of KOJIMA PRODUCTIONS, our exhibition, “KOJIMA PRODUCTIONS 10th ANNIVERSARY EXHIBITION BEYOND THE STRAND: The Odyssey of Creation and Endeavor,” opens tomorrow, Saturday, October 31, at Azabudai Hills Gallery and runs through Sunday, December 20. The exhibition offers a detailed look at how we make our games, covering each stage of development and the work involved in each part of the process. There’s also a VR experience that lets you virtually explore the KOJIMA PRODUCTIONS studio, as well as an AR experience that brings the world of DEATH STRANDING into the real world. Tim Sweeney is taking another shot at Steam.
The Epic Games CEO claims Valve has “held gaming back for years” by locking PC games into Steamworks’ ecosystem.
Sweeney argues that Steam’s social features make it harder for players on PC to communicate cross-platform while also criticizing Steam’s 30% cut.
However, that claim isn’t completely accurate. Valve’s Steam Datagram Relay can also be used across other platforms.
