LADNER – In Delta’s recent civic election, newcomer Alicia Guichon won her council seat by a landslide. In second place for votes was veteran Lois Jackson, who ran for council after 19 years as mayor.

The #ProRep folk argue that under #FPTP 40% of the votes can get a mainstream party 100% of the power. I am more worried that under ProRep 5% of the vote can get a special interest party up to 50% of the power #BCPoli #NoBCProRep @BillTieleman (h/t @moebius_strip)

This tweet by a Liberal MP is false. There was no CPC motion "labeling Sikhs as terrorists." In fact, it commended the Sikh community and condemned terrorism and extremism - which are likewise condemned by the vast majority of Sikhs. But the CPC dropped it under pressure.

Got your referendum ballot? Today is last day to request it from @ElectionsBC . Changing voting system won't fix government. Only participation fixes the system. Vote to keep #FPTP . Don't accept the GreeNDP's self-serving #PropRep "fix". Democratic activism starts with voting.
