The Denver Broncos have checked in around the league on tight ends, going so far as to ambitiously -- and some would say outrageously -- check on Cardinals star Trey McBride, who is from Fort Morgan, Colorado, and played at Colorado State. The Cardinals made it very clear they have zero intention of trading McBride.

It's noteworthy to me that it's been pretty public that the Colts are asking for at least a 2nd-rounder for Taylor, and that the Broncos have maintained interest in spite of that knowledge being public.
What's the latest on Jonathan Taylor heading into the weekend? My report on our @NFLonPrime postgame show.

How tough have the opposing defenses been so far, and how many wins has each team managed to pick up?
DEN is 6-2 despite facing the toughest defenses, while NYG (4-2-1) has faced the weakest defenses so far.

Broncos have won 12 games at home since the start of the 2025 season.
That's the most home wins of any team in the NFL in that time.

The last time the Carolina Panthers faced Sean Payton and the Denver Broncos, things got heated after the game.
During Carolina’s 28-14 loss in 2024, Payton called a fake field goal and a fourth-down trick play despite Denver holding a 28-7 lead in the fourth quarter.
Following the game, Jaycee Horn exchanged words with Payton, accusing the Broncos of trying to run up the score. Payton later dismissed the criticism, telling Carolina to “play better.”
Payton also criticized Carolina’s offense after the victory, saying it wasn’t a good offense and that Denver would face much better teams.
Now, two years later, the Panthers will host Payton and the Broncos this Sunday in Charlotte for the first time since that heated matchup.
