Maybe I should sell my Apple Duo next week! Holy crap! If I can find a sucker willing to buy it at these prices, I might have a down payment for a house! 😳
This is insane 🤦‍♂️

Reddit put me onto @GoSplit & now I get premium Crunchyroll for $3.20/month. I can only watch it on one device at a time but it’s fine by me. You can even do it with Apple One plans. 🤣 Now if there was only a way to do it for gym membership. gosplit.com/aff/fhcJQ?regist…

Safari 27 blocks hidden trackers that turn your email address into a tracking ID 🔥 Here's how this kind of tracking works, in plain words. Some companies take your email address and turn it into an ID. That ID can then follow you across different websites. Apple's WebKit team says that in the iOS, iPadOS, macOS, and visionOS 27 releases, "Safari and WebKit block network access to identity resolution infrastructure to prevent cross-site tracking." In other words, Safari cuts off the behind-the-scenes networks that do this matching. Apple also says "the blocking is done on the domain level, meaning they can't just change the structure of the network request to work around the protection." So trackers can't easily sneak past it. It doesn't block every kind of tracking, but it's a real privacy upgrade for people who use Safari on iPhone, iPad, Mac, and Vision Pro. Do you use Safari as your main browser? Source: WebKit (Apple)

This explains all the layoffs and mass firings at the Apple Retail Stores. The money has to come from somewhere.

After nearly 20 years on the right, the Apple TV’s status light has moved to the center. Finally, a reason to upgrade.

So are they going to actually keep this going or is it going the way of the Apple Airport & Server Racks?

This! This goes a long way in Apple Retail. Start off being good in your role until you get to where you want to be then slow the fck down! You don’t get paid extra for extra work. 🤣
Bro cracked the code 😭😭

If this is true, it goes against every reason Jobs started the Apple Store. Apple is bringing in stricter rules for its retail employees, who have complained about conditions in the past & may be surprised to hear that stricter rules are necessary… macworld.com/article/3234575…

This take from @MKBHD is going to offend a LOT of people, especially Samsung fans. Specifically the group that says, “It takes a long time for a company to make a new product. How can they copy Apple even before Apple has released their product?” But the thing is, these companies don’t have to wait for Apple to release their product first. They can start copying it as soon as Apple starts talking to suppliers and factories — which is AT LEAST several months before the product is actually announced.

Need this nation wide!
New York City’s new “Click-to-Cancel” rule is now in effect. Subscription services must make cancelling a subscription as easy as signing up for it. Companies can’t make customers jump through unnecessary hoops, such as forcing them to call or visit a business when they signed up online. The rules also require clearer information about subscription terms, renewals and cancellation rights. NYC says it is the first city in the U.S. to introduce these requirements

Flock was hacked and its code exposed on September 2nd We know more than we ever have, not theory, not piecing together info, from the source itself we know how the entire system works. - Identity tracking. - Planned camera locations. - AI assistant. - How searches work. - Their access to dark web data only hackers typically use. - Device types we didn’t even know existed. - 330k+ device Locations inside schools, jails, watching bathrooms, trails, military bases…all by a private company. (Prior only claiming 150k cameras). - The ability to search by protected classes such as race, gender, age, disabilities, political affiliation. - its access to medical records. Using your phone number, email, plate, description, image, social username, etc will lead an officer to your whole “background workup”. Proof of Invasion of privacy far beyond what any researcher found prior. This level of investigation required a warrant or RICO case before. The security researcher released all of these files, the map, planned camera locations, internal files, and much more. Flocks response? An attempt to get the DOJ to remove the website and hide what they’re doing. At what point does our government step in and fix this instead of continuing to harass us with our own tax dollars? Our 4th amendment isn’t just being violated. It’s being destroyed. That map tho WTF police state. flocksurveillance.org/ 🎩 Deflocking America 🇺🇸

Why does this remind me of those security drones in the original Dune movie. 😳
There's a flying security camera called Ring Always Home Cam. The drone patrols the premises when everyone leaves, periodically returning to the base to recharge.

All these lay offs and more frequent launches are the typical playbooks for new incoming CEOs. They have to show, within their first year, that they can make the company profitable. To all the Apple employees who might get axed… #appleemployees #appleretail #appleanons

I love the name of this app 🤣 #metaglasses #technology #smartglasses
A Polish developer has created an iPhone app called Zuckoff that can detect nearby pervert Meta smart glasses using their Bluetooth signals. The app has already attracted around 5,000 users since launching on Apple's App Store. Zuckoff works by detecting the Bluetooth signal from compatible Meta glasses. It can tell you when a pair of glasses is nearby, and roughly how far away they are. There is an important limitation, though, the app cannot tell whether the person is actually recording. It only tells you that camera-equipped glasses are nearby. Meta's glasses have a small light that is supposed to show when the camera is recording, Zuckoff is basically another way for people to be aware that camera-equipped smart glasses are nearby.
