The Consequential’s- Are You Entertained! As I wrote in my latest book THINK YOUR WAY TO THE TOP when you play stupid games you win stupid prizes. Our policies matter. At times it feels like we are re-living the final years before the Roman Empire collapse. A lot of these policies happen upstream from business and for far too long we have just remained silent believing they’d play out or fearful of being cancelled. We must find our voice. Here’s my top 12 commonsense policy corrections for 2025: 1- Police our streets not our pronouns. Let’s root out real criminals and not “mislabelers”. 2- Close our borders and never again our schools and businesses. Capture all pandemic learnings. 3- If you are to be triggered let it be by the one hundred thousand deaths a year due to fentanyl overdose and not if the green witch in Wicked is talked to harshly in a movie. BTW, where was the outrage for Shrek? 4- Our government needs to balance its books annually or have its credit card chopped in two. DOGE cannot come quick enough. 5- Educate our children how to think and not what to think. Drop CRT and drag queen recitals and teach the important stuff like American history. 6- To paraphrase what a great man once stated; “judge a person by the content of their character and not the color of their skin”. Just do this and eliminate race baiting and there is no need for DEI. 7- Drill oil from under our own feet rather than purchase from countries that want to destroy us. Would you send a parade of DoorDashers to the guy across town who robbed your house, and stole your car? Mucho doubto. 8- Usher in common sense policies to get us clean air and water and not obsess on programs that needlessly bankrupt our grandkids. No more being fooled. Remember; -We were told in the 1960’s oil will be gone in 10 years. -In the 1970’s that the ice age will be here in ten years. -In the 1980’s acid rain will destroy all crops in 10 years. -In the 1990’s the ozone layer will be gone in 10 years and now climate hysteria. -I would like to see a Manhattan style project with the best and brightest to solve this. 9- Keep men out of women’s sports and bathrooms. The Suffragettes are rolling in their graves and rightly so. 10- Like the movie our military needs “A Few Good Men” and not “A Few Good They”. And just our fittest and baddest. 11- Don’t obstruct the rules on the books, enforce them. End victimhood and enter the “I can do it” hood. It starts with you. 12- And finally, and probably most unpopular is that we need to relook at social security reforms. -When the program was first launched the average lifespan of a man was 59 and a woman was 66 years old. - We have now a life span in the mid 70’s. -So we should at least explore raising this to 70 years old for those reaching retirement in 40 years.
