Fantastic to celebrate 25 years of the UNC Neuroscience Center last night! Thank you @fpolleux, @GarretStuber, and Anthony LaMantia’s for joining us. Also late night at the Dead Mule with Franck and Eva- same place where we have spent much time 20 years ago!
Congratulations to lab folks for getting 2nd Best Poster awards in recent meetings! Jon Nagel (left) at the Duke UNC SLAM-DUNC Alzheimer’s conference and Quintin Girardi (right) at the UNC Neuroscience Symposium. Lab research well represented!
Congratulations! A landmark discovery that has led to so many studies of how miRNAs regulate biology.

Nothing more satisfying than going back to the college St. Xavier’s Mumbai @sxcbom that inspired you to be a scientist. It’s been 40 years - but feels like home. Wonderful students and awesome faculty in Life Sciences/Biochem. Teachers inspire. Every day. Thank you!
Thank you @PraveenSethup and others for this wonderful collaboration and for help us navigate aging! miR-29 continues to amaze us.
miR-29 is a driver of aging-related related phenotypes: rdcu.be/dR6ib. Pleased to share this study, which reflects a long-standing collaboration with @DeshmukhLab @EHollville and others @uncneuro, who started the work. @Cornell @cornellvet @KankeMatt @AmyHung_yh
Always enjoyable to meet up with lab alumni. Returning from GRC, brief stop in Portsmouth to catch up with Allyson! @metabolism_ally. Congratulations for everything you are doing at @Cell_Metabolism.
Keeley, @nicolehondro and Matt at the Cell Death GRC: Talks, Posters, Hikes, and Lobsters! Also, @nicolehondro reaction when she heard she won the best poster award. Congratulations!!!
Congratulations @nicolehondro for an awesome presentation at the Cell Death GRS for her project on Axon Pruning. Neurons are very cool! Looking forward to the meeting this week!
