Conservative Mayor of Tees Valley, Ben Houchon, accuses Private Eye of at best misreporting a land sale that Private Eye say netted just £100.
Private Eye journalist replies with receipts;
Replying to @BenHouchen
You did sell it for £100. Here's the Land Registry proof. We also reported the income that the public sector keeps (worth about 18% of what 90%-private-owned Teesworks Ltd gets). Maybe your press office will now answer questions (having refused to before and since the piece).

Very welcome news. Much needed new homes AND the infrastructure (including medical facilities, schools, open spaces and biodiversity) to support them. @otterpool_park provides financial security to @fstonehythedc so that we can continue to deliver services to the whole district.
#OtterpoolPark has today been granted outline planning approval. This landmark decision is a pivotal point in the delivery of the 8,500 homes #gardentown in the #Kentcountryside near #Folkestone.

3rd Green Belt tweet of the year.
If the English Green Belt were a football pitch, 300,000 homes would occupy less than one half of the penalty area. But remember only 2000 homes built on Green Belt last year and the area built on was massively exceeded by area added.

Listen and weep. Christine Whitehead, HBF and Shelter, in 2018, essentially all agreeing on the importance of building more homes to address the housing crisis. Yet in 2022 national politicians on the hustings still promoting policies to deliver less. 🤷♂️🤯 bbc.co.uk/sounds/play/b0bggn…

We’re incredibly proud of @DesignforHomes who has selflessly taken in three Ukrainian boys during the current conflict.
Showing the boys hospitality means so much and we’re pleased to be sponsoring them to see Ukraine vs Scotland at Hampden Park stadium this evening.
