ALT Open air Sunday Moods Summer Series at Blackwaters featuring local Garden Route musicians The Sunday Moods Summer Series at Blackwaters River Lodge on the banks of the Goukamma River between Knysna and Sedgefield on the Garden Route will feature Jaco Kriek on saxophone during its 2nd concert in this series, scheduled for the 4th of December. Expect jazzy, popular, well-known pieces like Summertime, Ain’t no sunshine when she’s gone and Autumn Leaves, but also more classical pieces like Pie Jesu and Halleluja. When asked, Jaco commented that “being part of nature is a holy experience” and he is looking forward to this performance. “I love the setting and playing intimately to a crowd with the same love for music and beautiful surroundings”. Co-sponsor Ypie Kingma from Destination Garden Route added “this is such a unique setting, and the whole idea of outdoor acoustic concerts is something we see being appreciated by both locals as well as visitors."
