Experimenting with 800 npcs moving almost simultaneously every few seconds. An average of 40-45fps seems pretty good in my opinion!

It could use a bit of work, it's not responsive in mobile.

I actually made something in a similar format recently. The animated knife/gun shine were done by making a video with transparent background, exported as frames, then converted into multiple sprite sheets (4 frames each). These sprite sheets were then looped through infinitely
