PREPARE THE UNKNOWN with the DSA DASHBOARD
Debt risks can be hard to spot when conditions change. DevTech’s Dynamic Debt Sustainability Analysis (DSA) Dashboard helps users explore how shifts in key economic factors such as growth, oil prices, and exchange rates can shape projected debt paths.
The dashboard uses scenario analysis to make uncertainty easier to examine and gives researchers a tool they can use to explore the data for themselves.
Which conditional would you stress-test first: growth, oil prices, or exchange rates?

Today, DevTech Systems revisits Rafael Romeu and Jose Pineda's 2020 research on subnational financial distress and debt restructuring.
The central argument remains highly relevant: having a formal bankruptcy framework does not necessarily guarantee an economically efficient or socially desirable outcome.
An equally important challenge is the lack of timely, reliable, and transparent information on municipal finances, which limits the ability of policymakers, investors, and citizens to identify fiscal vulnerabilities and anticipate financial distress.
As local governments face growing fiscal pressures, the broader lesson is clear: effective public policy requires greater fiscal transparency, stronger institutional accountability, and incentives aligned with long-term economic and social welfare.

DevTech recently completed an impact evaluation of the incentives offered to educational communities through a digital educational platform designed for middle and high school students.
The platform aims to strengthen cognitive and socio-emotional skills through personalized assessments, adaptive learning pathways, and mechanisms for tracking academic progress.
Drawing on data from more than 1,000 schools across over one-third of Mexico’s states, DevTech assessed the impact of these incentives on student participation, learning pathway completion, and educational outcomes.
The evaluation findings identified areas of success, opportunities for improvement, and informed recommendations to strengthen future implementation of the program's initiative.
